I'm rooting for Croatia, as a friend of mine is Croatian and she kind of insists on it haha.
I haven't even heard the UK entry, but I'll bet £100 that it's going to be pretty awful. We don't even make the effort anymore.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1944_%28song%29My favourite was the song of Ukraine, 1944. Performed by the ukranian singer-songwriter Susana Jamaladinova alias "Jamala" (Джамала). The lyrics for "1944" concern the deportation of the Crimean Tatars, in the 1940s, by the Soviet Union at the hands of Joseph Stalin. Jamala was particularly inspired by the story of her great-grandmother Nazylkhan, who was in her mid-20s when she and her five children were deported to barren Central Asia. The song's chorus, in the "Crimean Tatar language", are words that Jamala had heard from her great-grandmother, reflecting the loss of a youth which could not be spent in her homeland. The song features the "duduk" and the use of the "mugham vocal style". Duduk (regional instrument): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DudukAncient double-reed woodwind flute made of apricot wood. Mugham vocal style: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MughamIt is a highly complex art form that weds classical poetry and musical improvisation in specific local modes. Mugham is a modal system. A particular opinion i have:

yeah, you're right, history repeats, and occupied crimea is only a part of this, russians invaded in the east of ukraine (where were stopped). I live ~18 km from the line of the front. Maybe you heard such names Debaltzeve, Horlivka - I live near those, devil's ass place. No you didn't hear, cause this is undeclared war. nobody hears nobody cares. in fact my town - Bachmut, was occupied too, but was freed in the summer of 2014. my suburb was shelled by "Grad" missiles. this was a year ago, since then we have a f&&ing "ceasefire" and almost everyday I hear heavy explosions, I hear about victims, soldiers die. for more than two years. Sorry for this off-topic I did not intend to write about this and actually I avoid this, I don't read media and don't watch tv for more than two years, and after "Debaltzeve" battle, I avoid reading anything on internet except of about computing and avril. the one thing, russia is a hell on the earth it's much more dangerous than psychopaths islamists, this is a fascist empire, always was and now is going to its decay. I see now, this all thing is going end up very very bad. some big, huge shit is going to happen as an end of russian empire. it's your happiness that you live far of it and don't know what it is. It's more than balalayka and vodka. it's a parody on nazi germany with nuclear weapons and 150 000 000 crowd of zombies ready for any shit their fuerer throws on them, they hate all, they destroy everything they touch.

Sadly this is the reality. How Russia uses their power. And how they are doing what ever they want, and also keeps it hidden from the wolds media. It's something no human should experience or live like. Everyday. Especially in 2016. It's insane.

Well I'm glad Norway and Denmark didn't qualify... why on earth did those songs become the 2 best contributions in our countries But if it hadn't been for the pre qualifications of Italy, Spain, England, France and Germany, the eurovision would have been more of an east-euro song contest. This is not to be mean. They have many of my favorites ESC songs ever! But to be a contest that shouldn't be affected by politics it is. And the more people living in you neighbor country, the higher are your chance of winning. And especially Russia. When they have a "bad" song.. they end up being 2nd. When they have a great song they end 2nd..... it's like whaaaat? And that's sad.
