I doubt she will come to Scotland again, but if she were to play a London gig I would be willing to travel down there to see her. Otherwise I probably won't attend any of the concerts unfortunately.

I'll go see her next concert, but I hope she moves more actively during performance in the next era. Last time her only active move was playing air guitar during RNR. I'm not sure how likely that is to happen. Even if/when she fully recovers from Lyme it's possible that she will never be able to do everything she used to, physically speaking. Like she might not be doing cartwheels or anything onstage anymore. Whatever movement she can do is find with me. I mean even if she just sat on a stool the entire time that'd be ok with me as long as she plays lots of new songs and puts all her effort into singing them well.

Hmm, I dunno if I would undermine her abilities just yet. It'd be totally understandable if she wasn't able to. But I feel like she's stronger than we think. I guess we'll have to wait and see. It's not like her performances (when she didn't have choreography) were all that energetic to begin with imo...

I really hope the next tour will not be all singles again. Isn't she bored of playing the same songs over and over again? She has to have some clue the fans are bored of it, considering that they always request her to play different songs. The only singles that really need to be kept at this point are Complicated, Sk8er Boi, IWY, MHE, Girlfriend, WTH, and maybe HTNGU. DTM and WYG could be played at some shows but not necessarily every show. He Wasn't can just be dropped entirely, it wasn't even a hit. IAWGWIW, while fun, should be retired by this point, she has played it on every tour since Bonez and it's not even a single. It would be nice if she played some other songs from GL but I doubt it's gonna happen. RNR should be dropped IMO and I imagine she will drop LMG for obvious reasons. Again, it would be nice if she performed some of the other songs from AL but I'm sure she won't care anymore by that point. So IMO it's best to keep her biggest hits on the list and then the rest being new material and maybe a cover or 2. An all singles setlist with so few new songs is just pure laziness. Especially when, besides recycling the same songs, she also recycles the same routines and games along with them. I'm willing to cut her a lot of slack for the last tour considering she was sick for a good portion of it, but for the next tour, whenever it will be, if there will ever be one, she really needs to step it up big time. There are no more excuses. Normally I'd say for someone with 6 albums, they should be doing 18 songs minimum, but due to Lyme I'd definitely cut her slack with that. I agree with your staples, but the others could be in rotation with each other maybe. He Wasn't/IAGWIW maybe?, WYG/Innocence/SST, DTM/Nobody's Home as both singles from UMS that she can play on guitar, etc. Maybe Smile/RnR. So she can get them all in frequently, just not every single show. It also gives lots of room for old material and her new songs. I think those rotations are pretty fair, would keep things more interesting. Ofc this is all just my opinion though, and although I'd love to see her again, her show would be a bit dull I reckon if it was 99% singles as I've already seen her twice. I doubt she will come to Scotland again, but if she were to play a London gig I would be willing to travel down there to see her. Otherwise I probably won't attend any of the concerts unfortunately. Me too, unless it somehow fit in with a holiday somewhere.

This is a quote from an old Rolling Stone interview. Maybe she still thinks like that.
"I can't stand performing "Complicated". But I'm not going to pull the "I'm not singing a single", like some bands who are too good to do that. You should always play your hits".

Yes I know she has said that and she's right, but that should be limited to her biggest hits like Complicated and Sk8er Boi. She doesn't really need to be playing He Wasn't or IAGWIW still. And that is a very old quote I think anyway because I heard years later she said one day it was her goal to have an all singles setlist. I think she likes to play singles because the audience knows them and can sing along. But she should also remember there's more hardcore fans there that would like to hear the new stuff as well.

Even if she did let's say 12 songs, that's 7 songs that are her biggest singles, which leaves space for 5 new songs, which is about half of the new album. Presumably one or 2 of those 5 would be singles which leaves 3 new album tracks. Just as long as she at least limits how many of the old songs she plays, that's what she should try to aim for IMO.

Yes, you're right. It's from 2004 so it's not very current If I remember right she also mentioned something similar in the last era but I don't know where she said that so I've chosen the other quote instead.

Yes, you're right. It's from 2004 so it's not very current If I remember right she also mentioned something similar in the last era but I don't know where she said that so I've chosen the other quote instead. I remember in an interview during GL at a French radio station they asked her if she still plays her old hits and she said something like "I think it's very important if you've had hits to play them live." She definitely should. I know we're all sick of hearing Complicated, Sk8er Boi, Girlfriend, etc. but an Avril concert wouldn't be complete without them and fans expect to hear those songs (plus they are more fun in person than watching them on YouTube). But now it's probably time to drop the ones that weren't big hits. At the very least I wish that if she insists on playing the old singles she finds some way to make them new again, like when she played Losing Grip acoustic on TBDTour. Britney and Taylor still play lots of their old hits on tour (and they've got way more than Avril does) but they rearrange them to make them sound new.

Nah, I won't be going to one of her concerts. I don't identify myself with or through her that much anymore and bands I usually decide to see in concert are pretty different music-wise. I don't mean, that I don't like her music anymore, it's more like her kind of music doesn't suit my image of a concert.
I'll listen to her new record, if I like it, I'll buy it but that is as far as it goes.

Just being honest, simply if shes gonna perform four third of the album otherwise no plans. This is like my most basic reason to go perhaps she shouldnt name the tour after the album title
