I don’t believe Lover will ever have a proper tour. I think she is doing the festivals in place of a tour altogether.
Her next tour will most likely be for album 8, whenever that may be. She may not go into another album cycle very soon after Lover.

I can’t imagine her not doing a proper tour for what she considers to be her favorite/best album/one she’s most proud of. Especially for the US, with only having 2 locations and 4 dates, she knows not everyone can attend.
I think she felt like doing this festival thing for now to travel to some places she hasn’t been in awhile since international fans didn’t get as many shows last era. And she felt this album had a festival vibe. It was something a little different than a standard tour. She didn’t want her life to feel like album, tour, album, tour. I believe next year is when she can start re-recording her old music, so she’ll likely spend a lot of time on that. Then maybe in 2021 she will announce a tour with Lover but also bring back the remixed versions of her old work. So it might not be a Lover tour per se but I can’t imagine she won’t do a proper tour without singing most of that album live. She knows full well not everyone can attend these few shows she’s doing, that’d be really silly to somehow think that would be sufficient enough for a tour and then move on to the next album. She’s never not supported an album with a tour with the exception of her debut. And considering how special and important this album is to her, I would think she’d definitely want to give it its own tour. I think she just wants a bit of a break since the rep tour was so huge.

That's a little too extreme though. If you keep the demand so high no one can really attend, then that isn't really accomplishing anything. All it does is piss off fans.

Was listening to my taping of Whisky a Go Go in LA this morning. Did she do another club in LA the day before?

I don't like it either. Fans of both Taylor and Shawn will probably love it, but otherwise this remix was sort of unnecessary. The original song is just so good, nothing could top it. I don't like Shawn's lyrics, they just bring the whole quality of the song down when Taylor had great lyrics. Their voices don't really blend well together either and I don't know, there was just no need for this to be a duet.

It’s not much of a remix. Sure, it features a collaborator, but the instrumental is the same except for the intro. Which the remix’s intro doesn’t blend well.
I’m not really a fan of this “remix”. If it had a more upbeat rhythm added to it, sort of like how wildest dream’s radio version featured more drums to give it an oomph.

At the very least they should have kept all the lyrics the same and just had Shawn sing some parts. The new lyrics are cringey af

His voice does not fit the old school vibe of the song. I love Shawn but he still sounds too boyish. Meanwhile, Taylor sounds grown. It was just a bad song to collaborate in. They should have done Shawn's song about Reputation instead, a few years back I mean. The one they performed together.

I agree, he sounds like he is trying too hard to sound sexy or something and it just does not work with this song.

This is so sad. It's not enough that Scott and Scooter own her work, but now they are doing everything possible to prevent her from performing it. They are trying to ride her coattails as much as they possibly can before she is legally allowed to re-record her music and her old masters essentially become worthless. They can see the writing on the wall. I'm especially disappointed that Scott of all people would treat her this way after their decade-plus long friendship and the fact she was the first artist to sign with his label and make it and him so successful in the first place. I don't understand how her doing a live performance counts as a re-recording when she has been performing her old songs many times this era? The Netflix documentary is also a huge disappointment if she can't use her own music in it like wtf
It really sucks that for the time being she can't perform a medley of her own hits for the Artist of the Decade, but maybe she should just perform all Lover songs? Or a live debut performance of Beautiful Ghosts? Ugh this is so shitty, she is being awarded such a high honor and this should be a huge celebration of legacy, not these gross d-bags trying to take her accomplishments away from her. I hope every artist in the music industry and especially the AMAs speaks up about this until they have no choice but to back down and let her perform her hits.
