[Since Avril didn't appear in the movie herself, I am creating this thread in the General Discussion sub-forum rather than the Avril Media sub-forum.] So, what did everyone think of movie Babysitter's Black Book? Did you like the movie? Did you even watch the movie at all?

I thought the movie was alright, it wasn't spectacular or anything. I didn't know anything about the plot before watching it, so everything was kind of a surprise.
I did think that it was weird how the one friend just ended all contact with the three other girls. I mean... just because she didn't want to take part in their "club" or whatever, doesn't mean that she would just stop being friends with them; because as long as she didn't actually break the law as the three other girls did, she wouldn't get in trouble. They must've not been that great of friends to start with.

If they had put the Mean Girls actresses and characters in this movie, it would have been much better,

I watched the trailer, would still like to see the full movie, though what I've read and seen of it, to me the idea that a teenager would want to be a home wrecker for money for college seems a bit dodgy to me (And yes, I know college is expensive). Adults at least understand that there's consequences to their actions and also sometimes think something through before doing something, and also explore other options. But I'd probably have to watch the actual movie to get the full picture.

I didn't care about the movie, just cared about seeing the GYWYL video. The GYWYL video is basically the movie in 3 minutes. From what I saw in the GYWYL video, the movie just did not look appealing to me at all.

The highlight of the movie is hearing GYWYL. Unfortunately, that is how the movie starts. It's downhill from there. This movie is just another example of the entertainment industry using sexuality to attract an audience while pretending to convey a socially relevant message. Is there a teenager alive that doesn't know prostitution is at best, risky? Is there anyone that needs Hollywood to tell them that? It's not a terrible movie but, it's not very realistic. It's supposed to be "based on a true story". In the movie, the main female character services a married man in exchange for his promise to pay her college tuition. In the real life story this movie is supposed to be based on, a teenage girl was found guilty of having sex with a married man for $20 and a bottle of booze. The formula for this movie has been used many times before with more entertaining results. I guess I'm just tired of them using sex to try to sell me everything from beer to toothpaste.
