One time in college I took this math class for liberal arts and we discussed theories and proofs and stuff and I legit wrote an essay proving that Avril likely didn’t rip off GF by using the theory of deductive reasoning lol That's funny. I used Avril to get a grade, in two different classes. One class was a media class and the other class has a photoshop module. In both cases, the assignment was to make an album cover. I just submitted one I had made for fun years earlier. I had posted it on Avril's Crossbonez forum. Got an A in both.

Oh I’ve definitely used Avril as a subject for several class projects. I had a communications class a couple years ago where we had to make a communications plan for something and I wrote up a whole campaign for ALF to help increase their donations. It was really fun. In high school we also had a project in a music class to do a report and video on the artists who influenced us most. An English class had something similar, to write about one of our “heroes.”

"I'm the one who's got the prance" is one of the worst lyrics written by anyone in any song ever Also it's such a rip off of a Peaches song. Surprised she wasn't sued I remember reading that Peaches said that she had no problem with Avril drawing inspiration from her music and that she didn't think anyone else should have a problem with it either, because other people were encouraging her to sue Avril for copying her style and that she didn't think it was a big deal, etc. Peaches also went on and complimented Avril for doing well and said that she works hard a lot or something like that, to get where she is at in her career, etc.

that is because Peaches rocks. She doesn‘t care about copycats (not saying Avril was or is one).

An English class had something similar, to write about one of our “heroes.” I had to do the same thing at college back in 2003 or 2004. Only we actually had to get up And make a speech about our hero or heroine in front of the class. I was very nervous saying as I'm a shy person and nobody apart from my best friend in the class knew about my fandom of Avril. I would say the speech didn't go down too well with my classmates, most of them I caught rolling their eyes, yawning etc. but my teacher said it was the best one and the one that came from the heart most as I wasn't reading from a script like everyone else.

It's good that you spoke from the heart, that is always the best practice. And we love who we love, and that is nothing to be ashamed of. Being yourself and talking about something your passionate about is a good thing and don't ever worry to much about what others think. Passion is contagious and there were likely more people that liked what you had to say than you might think. Some people are just afraid to be there own person, but you were and that took courage; so good on you. I've taken crap from people about my love for Avril, only to find out later they actually liked some of her music and asked me more about Avril's music and other things about her, etc.

I know a lot of Avril fans aren't big fans of her song "I Love You." But for some reason I just loved this song from the first time I heard it. Which, honestly doesn't even make sense to me either, because I generally prefer her more rock oriented songs the best.

It was actually Avril and the message she gave out in Let Go that gave me the courage to speak out the way I did. I still get all kinds of verbal Abuse about my love for Avril, but I'll never let it get to me, I always think of the lyrics to ' Nobody's fool' in those situations.

So today i've listened to Goodbye Lullaby and i find it vocally better, waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Head Above Water. in GL she really pushes herself, the backing vocals in the final chourses of Push, Wish You Were Here are AMAZING, not to mention the whole Goodbye. There was an effort unlike in HAW, besides Tell Me It's Over, It Was In Me, Crush and Goddess, the rest are meh (Birdie, I Fell In Love With The Devil) or bland (Souvenir, Bigger Wow and Warrior)

May not be unpopular but I have a feeling it will be - this era has given us her best set of videos since TBDT

GYWYL may be overrated but it was wasted by Avril. Fans loved it, it was a different sound for her, it fit in during it's time, it had a market for it with 50 shades.

Well, I like GYWYL. Not a masterpiece, but it was really great work by Avril. Also when I rewatch the music video I always even wanna cry, cause I realise, that she already was fought against Lyme in that period like a real Warrior
