Oh my gosh!!! I am so excited that there are others who love PVRIS!! There are not many people I know personally that know they exist!
I can't decide though if I love their second album more than their first??? They are both soooooo good!!!
I found out about them through another band that I listened a long time ago (VersaEmerge/Versa - Sierra Kusterbeck & Blake Harnage, they both worked on PVRIS' first album.) And the day "White Noise" came out I went and checked it out and loved it instantly!
I think "What's Wrong" is my all time favorite song by PVRIS

I still can't decide which album I like more. It really varies with my mood. But trying to look at it as objectively as possible, I'd also choose "White Noise", mainly because it's lyrically not as repetitive as AWKOHAWNOH (I still love those songs, though). Then again, I like that AWKOHAWNOH is more mature, so... here we are again. I just can't really decide.

The singing is what made me fall in love with them in the first place. Lynn Gunn's voice is so extraordinarily powerful, I hardly ever come across such strong female voices. I do have to admit, however, that I needed some time to get used to her (Boston?) accent and start appreciating it.

doesn't sound like a accent to me sounds like drenched in hall reverb She definitely has an accent, you'll notice if you listen to any interview with her. Unless we're talking about two different things... 'Cause I can't notice any "drenched in hall reverb" vocals.
But you don't have to like the vocals, of course. Everyone has different taste.

I do have to admit, however, that I needed some time to get used to her (Boston?) accent and start appreciating it. I agree about Lynn's voice. And it is hard to come across strong female voices, especially in more "mainstream" music. I have a huge appreciation for her vocals in PVRIS, her voice is very unique in my opinion. She does a bit of a Boston/East Coast-American accent I will admit, but I have encountered much harsher Boston accents But I will say, I myself am picky when it comes to vocals. If I'm into someone voice it is really hard for me to get into the whole group. I don't know why, but I can understand if you feel like someones voice is too much in whatever way or just not into their sound, it would be hard to listen to the music/the rest of band.

Lol, it's exactly the same with me. Vocals are so damn important, and I'm horribly picky. Well, I'm generally very picky when it comes to music. It doesn't happen very often that I really love a band/artist. In fact, I'd only call myself a huge fan of three artists/bands, even though I almost daily use Spotify to discover new music.

Without any doubt, this new long-awaited single and music video should be left in this thread
