Information about deleting forum accounts

Hey everyone,
We have recently noticed a trend in more members deciding to delete their accounts as a way to take a break/leave Bandaids. This thread is to inform members that the Staff have access to a feature called "disable account" - it isn't a ban, but it prevents login on that spefific account. We have always had the feature but took no notice of it due to the fact that until now, 100% of the time when we prevent people from accessing the site it's due to someone getting banned.
We can't prevent you from deleting your accounts; and you are free do so, but if you want to keep your account, posts, PM's etc etc then please request an account disable to any moderator and specify the duration of time you'd like your account to be disabled.
