At least the drama hasn't gone full-fledged. The worst of the worst comes when members start attacking each other through anonymous confessions; so at least the drama hasn't came to that again

Also, it's really none of your business to tell other members what they should and shouldn't write. Um.... wow. It's like your documentary thread never happened, or that time you campaigned against jokes you didn't find funny, or confessions you didn't like which weren't even directed at you, or members whose posts made you "uncomfortable", or.... well you get the idea. You're like the last person on this site who should be saying this, sweetheart. You're so rude. Seriously, such an uncalled for post. I've never directly told any specific person "You shouldn't post this," the way others have to me. And don't call me "sweetheart," that's extremely rude and condescending.

I am so done with this forum. Lately everyone feels like it's ok to tell me how I should feel, think, or react to something and now I am being told by people who are NOT mods what to post and have people directly being rude and insulting to me. If there is an issue with something that I have said, a mod will handle it. I'm so freaking sick of people being rude here.

Yeah, I remember that discussion. I just didn't know the acronym "ISIS". Anyway, thanks for the explanation.

Let's get back on the topic of random Avril discussion, if you have an issue with a post, please report it rather than continuing the argument

Today I received two amazing things that I had ordered from German Amazon – the Deluxe edition of TBDT (used) and Nobody's Home single (new)! I'm so excited!
The only flaw is that the Nobody's Home CD doesn't work at all on my computer. It's not that surprising though, considering that the officially recommended operating system for the CD is Windows 95. But that doesn't matter because there's nothing on the CD that I wouldn't already have. I bought it especially to gain the beautiful feeling of possessing such a masterpiece!

Ok so now I see all the 12 year olds whining on Twitter that Avril didn't get nominated for Teen Choice. Well of course she didn't. Why do people waste their time voting for these things? Don't these morons realize that Teen Choice doesn't give a fuck about how many times you tweet an artist's hashtag? All they want is for people to keep trending #TeenChoiceAwards, by nominating an artist you keep trending the show itself, and that's ultimately what they care about. They will only nominate whoever is the most relevant at the time and that obviously isn't Avril right now. It's hilarious how these children get so mad and upset over something so small and stupid. And they get so angry, crying about how "unfair" it is, whining for them to change their nomination (which won't happen), when they fail to realize the true motivations of the show. Maybe if they grew up for 5 seconds and realized the true motivations behind the show, they'd stop bothering with these things. All it does is make the fan base look even more immature, I'm glad at least most of her fans on Bandaids all appear to be mature adults, late teens, 20s, or 30s-ish, not these 12 year olds on Twitter whining about Avril should be nominated for everything. UGH. Go to bed, children. Just to reply to this. Not trying to cause any drama. As you correctly pointed out those are 12 years-old kids. They do not understand the intentions of companies or how the world works. You tell them to grow up? They're 12 years-old. In my opinion, they should stay kids as long as they can, especially at the age of 12. Children are over-dramatic and like to throw a tantrum. I'd rather have that than wannabe grown-ups.

Yes but that's sort of the point- it's naive to think the Teen Choice Awards will really stay true to their word and that they really care about the integrity of the vote when they don't. Because it just causes an upset like this. Unfortunately it is just one of the many harsh realities of the world. It's better they know the truth about it than to live in ignorance and keep voting for these things, giving the company exactly what they want, and then throwing tantrums when it doesn't happen the way they expect it to. I remember in 2011 when Avril won the MMVA Fan award but they gave it to Justin Bieber. And ever since then, I've just never bothered with fan voted awards. They're scams. If anything, more people should be made aware about it so that they don't give the companies what they want, by voting and drawing attention to the show. Not only that, I imagine there is a fine print somewhere saying the show has all final rights to decide the nominees. The fact none of them thought about this or seem to be aware of it and keep thinking their votes actually matter just shows how naive they really are. If someone was perfectly aware of how these things work, but wanted to vote anyway just to support Avril, that's perfectly fine, great for them. Just don't throw a giant fit over Twitter and angrily demand that the company change the vote. This isn't the first time the fan base has done this, by the way. Any time Avril doesn't win or doesn't get treated fairly in these online polls, the fans throw a huge fit about it until it's fixed. I get that to kids it's like this huge deal, but in reality these online polls don't mean anything and I think it just ends up making the fan base look bad when they throw fits over it. It's not even like if Avril managed to get nominated that she would win anyway. IDK, I was just annoyed when I saw it all over Twitter last night, these fans angrily tweeting AT the company and demanding they change it. Perhaps calling them "morons" wasn't the best choice of words, but I really do think they're incredibly naive and should know better by now, especially since the 2011 MMVA thing. Like I said, it's probably better that they know the truth so they don't waste their time voting and giving the company exactly what they want, instead of blindly believing their votes actually count and then getting all upset when they find out that they don't. If you know the truth, you save yourself the trouble. I barely ever bother with fan voted polls and things anymore.

If you know the truth, you save yourself the trouble. I barely ever bother with fan voted polls and things anymore. It is normal to be naive as a kid. I don't see how it's a bad thing. Let them live in their bubble as long as they can. Also, they were 8, 9 or 10 years-old in 2011, so I don't think they understand what this is all about. I don't know under which circumstances you grew up or what kind of life you live. I don't know you enough to tell. But when I was around that age I didn't care for such things. I only cared about when the next Bravo magazine would come out or whether I could meet my friends. I know things are different now for kids but that doesn't mean that they can't be carefree. Yeah, I do agree that they should be made aware. However, that is the parent's responsibility. Posting an angry post on the forum won't help them because non of them uses this forum. It'd be probably a bigger help if people tweeted or pmed them.

Eh, sorry. I just realized that this is the AVRIL random discussion thread. We should probably get back on topic.
