Jeepers Creepers 3 a couple of nights ago. It sucked, especially comparing it to the first one

The priest 1994
It's a story about faith, gay love and badness. I liked it. Linus Roache was so young!

La La Land. It's arguably the most overrated movie ever in my opinion, and I can't understand how it got the same Oscars' nominations as All About Eve. I can't see how anyone can see something more in it than a blend of 500 Days Of Summer and Singing In The Rain with more forgettable songs than any of the two. Emma Stone is great though, but I feel like she stretches her role to the maximum because the script doesn't allow her that much of a great performance. I had lots of expectations about it because I love classic Hollywood musicals but this just doesn't hold a candle to them. It feels forced and faux and so dependent on the references to the great musicals of the 50s that it doesn't have any value on its own. Basically I think that it's a case of the Emperor's New Clothes. And regarding clothes, please can someone from California tell me if Gosling is the one man on earth that wears a wool suit in LA or is it really colder than I have always thought? I mean, Emma Stone's dress in the same scene hasn't got sleeves. Edit: I must say that the use of colour is one of the few departments in which the movie is somehow remarkable but again it's just a throwback to the 50s movies and it only really lives up to its precedents in some scenes. I'm mad at you. I watched 'La La Land' because of your review. Don't worry. I'll get over it. When you said "a blend of 500 Days Of Summer and Singing In The Rain", I just had to know what you were talking about, because I loved 'Singing in the Rain' so much. Still, I mostly agree with your review. It was way overrated. However, it was one of the most well done bad movies I'd ever seen. The cast did a great job. It was technically excellent. But, the story was weak. The music was weaker. I can't remember one song title or a single lyric. Totally forgettable. I saw '500 Days of Summer' a long time ago. I forgot whether I liked it or not. So, I had to watch it again. Before I watched it the first time, I was really looking forward to it. I am a big fan of both Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It's kind of funny, I had the same reaction both times I watched it. Half way through it, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like it. Then, it was the last couple of seconds that changed my mind. I liked it a lot. Anyway, I don't really see how you could make a comparison of 'La La Land' to a blend of the other two movies.

Raw - 8/10
Fucked up French movie about a girl who goes to veterinary college and discovers she has a taste for human flesh. It's great if you're into that kind of thing.

I liked it a lot. Anyway, I don't really see how you could make a comparison of 'La La Land' to a blend of the other two movies. Well, I'm sorry, but in my defense I'll say that my intention was to dissuade anyone who felt the slightest temptation to watch it. Funny thing, I also love both Singing in the Rain and 500 Days Of Summer- the latter being to me one of the best romantic movies ever. The comparison was made in terms of plot. You know, you have all this Hollywood setting with this little, talented but overlooked actress fighting earnestly to be noticed and find a place in the industry (sort of an update of Debbie Reynolds character in Singing in the Rain). Ryan Gosling's character also reminded me of Gene Kelly's, because, in spite of not being nearly as successful, he has the same somehow arrogant attitude- and it's a musical. I think that ANY movie that is a musical and is set in Hollywood is going to draw an unavoidable comparison with Singing in the Rain- and it's gonna lose, for that matter. On the other hand, the bittersweet story about this young, hipster-like couple who eventually is not able to make it through and part ways but they silently make aments with themselves and the others at the end of the movie is quite similar to 500 Days of Summer's- only that 500 Days of Summer's characters are MUCH more relatable and charismatic and the story is told in a much more original way. The fact it also happens to be set in LA just made it more obvious to me. So I just saw it as if someone had tried to mix one of the best classic musicals ever with one of the best "recent" movies (ever)- and it went horribly wrong. But I agree about the technical virtues and the cast's performance. However, methinks that if you're going to make a musical, you better come up with a good story and better music, and then you'll worry about the rest.

Atomic Blonde. For me, it was kinda complicated to follow and boring.

The Post.
The Washington Post risking their future by fighting against the government trying to ban the free press from talking about a government cover-up to do with the Vietnam war. It was pretty decent. Meryl Streep was really good in it. I'd probably watch it again.

'Her' I rate it -32 out of 10. I didn't actually watch the whole thing. The only reason I made it to the 26 minute point is, I was eating ribs. And, I was up to my elbows in bbq sauce. I changed it as soon as I could wash my hands. I was looking forward to it. It was so highly rated. It even won an oscar. Everyone in it is great. What a piece of absolute shit. I'm going to watch a movie I've seen at least seven times. I can't possibly handle anymore disappointment tonight.

ONEGIN
It's a movie from 1999 (old, I know) with Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler. It's the adaptation from a Puskin work, a russian poet. Loved the music and the story
