I'm not sure how to feel about a garment dictated on women by the Quran, worn by a western woman. I get that it may be practical in heat.
Avril got so much criticism for riding that camel. Apparently they are mistreated, but seriously, it's not like it occurs to everyone to google things like that before going for it.

What Avril’s wearing isn’t the same as a hijab. This article explains the differences between all the different coverings Muslim women wear: www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/amp/24118241 She’s definitely not wearing a hijab. More like a robe/scarf over her head which is probably ideal for desert weather. So I don’t think it’s a problem. On the other hand, the camel thing is a whole other issue. Someone in the comments claimed the camels are well taken care of and only work maybe an hour or 2 a day and they are well fed and treated well by their owners. I don’t know what modes of transportation they really have around those parts but it seems Avril did it for fun. I personally would never ride a camel (some compared it to being no different than riding a horse which is a fair point) but as long as the animals are treated well I don’t think it’s an issue she did it. Maybe she shouldn’t have posted pics though. I do think people went too far saying it was animal cruelty though. Animal exploitation maybe, not abuse or cruelty. And we don’t know whether or not Avril did research on this before going.

It is important to see only the good in the culture and traditions of the countries of the world. I like Avril's words and even if she is not a devout Muslim, she behaved like a guest who respects the traditions of the host country. My husband and I have been living in London for a long time and I wear traditional clothes here. LINK DELETED sells high-quality and beautiful clothes for Muslim women and girls in London. In my opinion , such clothes are beautiful and it seems to me that one day all women in the world will understand this and will wear modest clothes .
