I agree. I think we could do one last MOTM and then maybe call it. I rarely pay attention to who posts what so I never know who to nominate for these things. Or anyone I can think of is ineligible. It was fun when we had more members and the site was more active. But now this feels like a chore we are obligated to do out of tradition.

I do like MOTM and I always try to vote but I never nominate purely because I always use the forum on my phone so don’t have signatures etc so I find it really hard to recognise and remember people lol.

I agree it seems it is running a bit low on participation this time around, even more so than the past few months. With membership not as actively posting overall, it only makes sense that MOTM is also not getting a lot of attention. While I think it's fun, we do seem to get the same members nominated a lot, and then once they win, the most memorable people are no longer available to nominate. I hate to see something like this end, but it also makes sense to par it back to MOTY like Mohican mentioned. Or potentially, of the quarter if enough interest is still there. That would be 4 people winning each year instead of just one.

Agreed a vote/poll may need to be done in order to finalize what everyone wants. Maybe something along the line of "Should it be done monthly, quarterly, annually, not at all" as the options.

TBH I had a little trouble coming up with a lot of nominations lately because the posting has been lower lately (not much going on, sooo...).

Life is not perfect, but it's better than the alternative...

Yes unfortunately any activities that are based on participation aren't going to generate a lot of interest if Avril herself isn't very active. Back in the day BA had hundreds or even thousands of active members regularly and even in dry periods these activities were a way to bring the site together. But since the old forum disappeared, it's just never been the same. Avril isn't super active anymore so there's not much to discuss here these days. Sadly I think we are going to be seeing a lot of these events disappear. It started with Signature of the Week ages ago. And honestly that's ok. We can't expect a site that's been around for over a decade to be the same as it was in its heyday. Forums in general are no longer popular. Eventually all good things must come to an end. As long as there is still a place to discuss Avril, that's mainly what I'm concerned about.
