I was a little surprised to hear her say that she's only half way through her treatment. I thought she would have been more further along than that. It takes time. A friend of mine are still recovering after 3 years. Have been in activity for 2 years tho

My heart broke seeing her cry like that. But I'm so happy she's trying to turn it into something positive and help bring awareness so that others don't go through what she did. I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason and I believe that Avril was meant to get Lyme disease so that she could use her celebrity status to bring awareness, because there aren't many people as known as her that can speak about it. I also thought she'd be further along in her treatment but at least for Avril there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Some people can suffer for years.

I was a little surprised to hear her say that she's only half way through her treatment. I thought she would have been more further along than that. I guess that might be why it's labeled a disease as it's recurring? I'm not sure, just a guess... poor Avril, though. She really is having a very hard time Um, CAN WE TALK ABOUT WON'T LET YOU GO BEING OFFICIALLY USED?!

It takes time. A friend of mine are still recovering after 3 years. Have been in activity for 2 years tho But if she looks this good and is doing this good now while only midway through treatment, then she is really going #kickass when she's 100% again. She's come such a long way already. With this new information I think she might finish her treatment in the first quarter of 2016.

She said this is her second shot of life for her Does any one what is her first shot? It's just a saying. She feels like this is her second chance in life. The "first" one is until she got sick. She said this is her second shot of life for her Does any one what is her first shot?

Short but good interview. While it had to be hard for her to open up, I think it's positive that she does it. Not only to bring awareness towards Lyme disease, but to show there's a normal person behind that "popstar image", with feelings and struggles. One of the things I've never liked about Avril is the fact that she's just focused on her "fun side" and she barely shows her "personal, vulnerable side", I hope this interview changes her point of view about it and she's not afraid to show her feelings more often. Not saying that she should be saying how she loves her fans 24/7, but be more communicative and not be afraid of being personal and vulnerable on and off stage.

Great to hear 'Won't Let You Go" in this video.
I would have like seen the full uncut interview. But It was great to see her again and spreading awareness.

oh my gosh I love her so much it was great to see her again She'll get through this! I'm someone who's dealing with a disease that gives similar effects to hers. I lost a year of school to this disease. It takes tme to get back to life and back to feeling yourself again. It's not an instant thing. But she's trying and she's pushing, and I know she can do it. She says she wants to start her career back up and I believe her. This kind of thing, speaking out about it and how she CAN and WILL get better is inspiring to people who have similar things going on in their lives and I thank her endlessly for that.

Good to see her doing better.
Her hair reminded me quite of TBDT era.

This interview moved me so much. Avril is so brave and inspirational that it just blows me away. I love her so much.
Anyway, the presence of WLYG might mean something. Let's hope.

I do hope at some point maybe an "exclusive" version of the interview will be released in full because the whole point of the interview is to bring awareness to Lyme disease. All this interview showed was Avril's struggle to get diagnosed, but they didn't talk at all about what Lyme disease actually is, how to prevent yourself from getting it, how to go about getting the proper care if you do get it, etc. I'm sure that they must have talked a lot more than what was shown here.
