Yeah, there are spells that can fix minor injuries and of course Phoenix tears have healing properties that can apparently cure a person of any injury but I'm not sure if they can cure diseases etc.

Btw What do you guys think of No-Maj vs Muggle? I definately prefer muggle. But I do realise that it makes sense for Americans to use another term. I'm just not sure if I'm 100% happy with the word.

How come there isn't a healing spell in Harry Potter? Because there are potions. There are healing spells, but I believe they are tricky. Remember the scene in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: Harry attacked Malfoy with one of Snapes spells and Snape healed him afterwards with a spell. But Snape did invent the spell that hurt Malfoy in the first place so he probably invented the healing spell, too. Except that, I think you are right. I believe there are healing spells, but they are hardly used in Harry Potter. I can imagine something like this: all spells have been invented by wizards and they kind of work similar to a potion. One must know the "ingredients" to undo the magic. The wizard who invents a harming spell usually does not want to undo their magic afterwards, so unlike Snape did invent a healing spell to his Sectumsempra, I think it's hard to invent a healing spell afterwads. And I think potions are more effective, so wizards usually lean on em.

Me neither. I understand why they would have a different term, but I think it's a little simple and I don't think it will catch on with fans the way that muggle has.

They use No-Maj? I really think that's a bad name but hey ho. What's the plural? I know it's not meant to be an insult, but I think someone like Malfoy using this in a derogatory way would be laughable.

So, the first teaser trailer for Fantastic Beasts has been released. What does everyone think? It doesn't show you very much but it does look pretty good. I got chills hearing Newt say 'Lumos Maxima' at the start.

I'm a bit apprehensive about the story line but I'm sure it'll be good as JK's written it ofc.

I think people won't be able to watch it so they are not worried about it. It is just available to the public in britain. Besides the book that is

That's the reason why they're releaseing it as a book, because only a few people are able to watch it. I don't get why so many "hardcore fans" who really describe themself als hardcore and "biggest HP Fan 4 Life" are ignoring a new book, which isn't a prequel/spin-off or whatever. It's the actual sequel...I don't get it... Who cares if it's only the script. It is a new HP book, fuck it!!!

Personally, for me the next 3 months are going to be nothing but a slow painful wait for The Cursed Child to be released. I cannot wait to see how the story has progressed, what Harry is like now and of course more Hogwarts ... what's not to love? Especially since J.K. Rowling herself is so heavily involved in the writing that you just know that it is going to be great. I could understand people not being as interested if it was new writers and completely independent of J.K. but really ... I'm willing to bet that it will be everything we loved about HP and more, only in a slightly different format. I'm gutted I haven't got tickets to see the actual stage show. I'm really intrigued to see what the set looks like, how they do the special effects etc. But I imagine that at some point down the line the show will be available on DVD or something, or perhaps that is just wishful thinking.
