I tried edge and Firefox. I googled the problem when they first rolled out the update and noticed the issue and saw other people reporting a problem with video streaming as well. I haven't looked to see if there is a fix in a while as I have been using my tablet more frequently. If it's a known issue, there will be a fix s**n. I sure hope so, I can't watch via Amazon Prime, I tried Edge, Waterfox and Internet Explorer... EDIT: my friend suggested trying Chrome, I tried it and it worked!

I sure hope so, I can't watch via Amazon Prime, I tried Edge, Waterfox and Internet Explorer... If I were in your shoes, I would try Linux while I was waiting for Microsoft to fix their mistake. You can try Linux without installing it on your computer. You can run it from a DVD or a USB drive. If you like it, you can install it along side of your Windows installation. You would then be able to boot into Linux or Windows. I often use Linux as a diagnostic tool to see if there is a problem with Windows or a problem with hardware. If you would like help with this, send me a PM. EDIT: I just saw your "EDIT". Cool. Happy things are working for you. If all things break lose, I just start my linux virtual box again

Cool topic. I did not use Windows 10 yet. Because now, mostly I'm sitting on the Pentium 4 computer from the 2004 year and it runs Windows XP which I'm totally satisfied with. xD Since I'm somewhat related to computing, I have strong passions about OSes actually, namely I love Windows NT derived OSes, hate Linux, disrespect Mac OS X as being a toyish overrated thingy. xD Well, to not piss off apple's fans more, it's enough.) In general - I am a common example of an obsessed fan of the particular OS.) But I tired (and retired myself) of holywars about this topic. From the user interface perspective which is more relevant here I think, I prefer the classic style of Windows, it roots from Win95 xD so in this respect I am a hopeless dinosaur.) But I love the style of Vista/7. Not so much that flattened style of 8 and successors. But for sure, if i would get a new computer I'll get 10 on it. New hardware is better off with the new software.

I understand and agree with most of what you wrote. I used to hate Linux. I don't know how long it's been since you played around with it, but many of the newer releases have become quite user friendly. For an experience most like XP I would recommend Linux Mint. It can be installed along side of an XP installation and would probably result in a performance boost, considering you are using an older P-4 machine. Not to mention the fact it is more secure by it's nature and it will be updated, unlike XP. Just a thought. yyyah. As I've said I strongly discourage myself from falling in debates on this topic, it's just here, I thought I might write something more meaningful about Windows 10, than about Avril Lavigne cosmos to start somehow. xD But if to say, then I am very in doubt with "performance boost", especially with it, this is the main reason why I dislike linux indeed (apart from noisy (and often - weird) and hostile 'supporters', 'evangelists', 'advocates') - it always has been promoted as a "huge performance win" compared to Win (that's a funny pun), but in reality, what I have always been seeing was opposite - linux constantly is loading cpu far more than Windows in the same situations, performing the same tasks, it eats CPU hungrily and this all may not be attributed to only X server oddity (as it often is said by deffenders). It's just is not as cpu efficient as Windows is. This the fact. It may not be as good seen on server because of different load scenarios, but on the desktop - it's outrageous how ineficient it is. it just rapes the cpu! Finally, the security myth... Well, it is probably the most stable long-lived and wrong of the bunch of linux related myths. I only may say, that I hope linux developers don't take it seriously, since it's dangerous to their users. And recent severe flaw discoveries in the open-source projects, like OpenSSL heart-bleed vulnerability, GnuTls bugs, Shellshock vulnerability and so on, only confirm this. There is nothing special in the linux architecture (if there is such a thing like linux architecture) that makes it inherently 'more secure'. Security flaws come from mistakes which all make. Arguing that open source model of development gives more security actually has been failed exactly by the mentioned vulnerabilities, since it turned out that despite being opensourced from the very beginning, very dangerous bugs in bash command interpreter for example, were not noticed and fixed for more than 20 (!) years, from the 1989 I believe. Just compare user-bases of Windows and Linux. They are incomparable, neither by the number nor audience. Windows is used everywhere and by everybody hence we are often seeing many examples of not very thinkful usage when people are doing extremely stupid things with their computers exposing them for attacks. Linux users are so not numerous and they are mostly more computing educated in average (at least, in reality they are computer geeks) - just because computer illiterate people would not even hear about that linux not to mention use it. Far lesser of users, more average literacy with the machine and you have less 'viruses'. It has nothing to do with what internally differencies between two OS's are, rather their user-bases. And last but not least - I am very hppy with performance of WinXP. Oh, man I hardly believe this mess is understandable. Sorry.) But the most interesting thing in this, is that, I've learnt, you are the avril lavigne official site admin! xD Wow. So you have some communication with her? No?) Or this is a secret. xD Ok, I am not going to interrogate you, just expressing my excitement!

No, I'm not one of those irrational Linux evangelists. I see it as a tool that has its place. If your experience or opinion differs from mine, I'm okay with that. I see you aren't.) Surely it has its place and even such a zealot as me has to use it, because I love messing around with arm (and mips if available) SBC's (like raspberry pi, beaglebone, odroids etc), and there - only linux is supported at the appropriate level, no Windows, no BSDs yet. So it clearly has its places to use, and actually very broad range of places, I just am kind of fanatical Windows guy, as I said, that's why I react that.xD Exactly. I wanted to say this speaking of the difference in userbases and use scenarios. I see. Still I thought it should be somewhat closer compared to nothing.) At least she writes there (supposedly xD), logins as her and you may see this another way than an ordinary visitor.) Speaking of spammers and company, I have to say you defeat all those freaks more than enough,) because I had no luck to post comments there, (I tried to do this before I lost hope xD) however I am NOT a spammer or psycho, xD all is easier - I just suck badly at English, perhaps some spamfilter looks at my mess as a damn spam.) Wanted to illustrate this now but got denied to even log in. Even changed my password, still nothing, it says contact the site adminstrator.
