I just received my Wild Rose fragrance in the mail today, so now I have all 3 of Avril's fragrances! I really like them all, and not just because they were designed by her, but I really like the style and smells of each. I'd like to know what other fans think about her fragrances, which ones do you own and which is your favorite? Do you like the commercials? Do you hope Avril will make more of them?
My personal favorite of the 3 is Black Star. The bottle design is really unique and I just LOVE the smell. It's fruity but floral at the same time. And I like that the box has studs on it. I like that it's the only one with its own jingle. The commercial was nice. I like all of the commercials, but Wild Rose is my favorite. I think Forbidden Rose is a great fall/winter fragrance and Wild Rose is great for summer.
I don't expect Avril will return to making fragrances any time soon, but I wouldn't mind at all if she decided to make another one. I just hope that if she did, she would make a more unique one this time, rather than a "sequel" to one she's already done. That was something I didn't really like about Wild Rose, was that it was just a copy of Forbidden Rose, but with a slightly different design and basically a "summer" version of the smell.
I also don't really like the ring accessories. I think it's neat that they come with them but they are too big and impractical for me to wear.

I have them all and love them all, but I think Wild Rose is my favourite, with Forbidden Rose being a close second. Because I love them both I don't mind Wild Rose being a copy! I just wish they weren't so difficult to get hold of. And I'd love it if she made another fragrance one day. My issue with the ring accessories is that they're such bad quality.

I don't really like forbidden rose but the other two are nice, black star is probs my fave but I don't really use them often. I'm a sucker for britneys ones ha so avrils are usually pushed to the back - this has reminded me to use them more..!

I loved the bottle and promotion for Black Star but that's all irrelevant to me when it comes time to actually wear the perfume. My favorite scent is definitely Wild Rose -- and it's a shame they're quickly selling all out. That's got to be in my top 4 favorite perfumes ever. I hope at some point she re-releases it.

I wish I had a sense of smell, lol, I must be missing out. Yeah, I'm also wondering what's the difference between summer and winter perfumes Generally a winter perfume smells less fruity or floral and has a "dark" smell if that makes sense. A summer perfume is light, fresh, and fruity or floral. They basically suit the season/weather.

Thank you for the explanation, but I think that distinguishing the fragrances' season is a gift that you've got to be born with and certainly I was not

I always feel the fragrance thing was the part of promoting Goodbye Lullby, which might be suggest by RCA Records, anyway, Black Star worked really well, and the entire, she clerly didnt have much passion to create
BUT, it would be interesting if she wud made one for men

She started developing the fragrances long before she ever thought about making GL though. She said it took 2 years to make each fragrance, so she started making Black Star probably around 2007, which would have been TBDT era. I don't think the fragrances had anything to do with promoting GL. She has always been interested in doing things outside of music, such as AD and movies. Perfumes were just another creative outlet for her and of course an addition to her brand.

I recently gifted my mom the black star. TBH I thought it's shape is kind of unique and I've always wanted to see how one really loooked like so I gifted her. According her the perfume is very sweet like sweet candies and all the girly stuff. Haha.
