Too bad she doesnt have a new album or at least Greatest Hits album in plan this year. With all that positive attention and interest in Avril (lyme-interview, special olympics, show with taylor, charming movie, family guy game), it could have been a decent success She is in a better promo-situation than durung her AL-era... I'd not say too bad coz people will definitely and immediately judge that she made this big drama just for the fame if doing so. You know, now, she gained a little more popularity and inspiration. The next move is to make a solid album with a very clear concept, mood and style. I'm waiting for Avril to make a huge comeback in the next year or what so ever

I'm super pleased about Avril performing with Taylor- Hopefully this Friendship will blossom into a collab or something. I personally think they'd go great together and if Avril plays her cards right I'm pretty sure Album 6 will be amazing. This has put her back in the spotlight, at least for a while.

Full vide + the introduction I love Taylor's introduction. I never really knew how big a fan she was of Avril's. It just shows how much impact Avril has really had on so many people and I love how Taylor mentioned that and talked about how important it was that Avril was a female singer/songwriter in a time when it was so rare in pop music. I would die if they did a song together.

A rumor is that there was no M&G because Taylor wanted to spend time with Avril. If true that's cute.. but had fans all ready paid to meet her? Well well its nice to see Avril preform again and i don't think Taylors fans was disappointed either

Or at least what I heard is that fans cannot buy tickets for them, you have to win them, so if that is the case nobody would have spent money for a M&G.

If she had wanted to "be relevant again by following the new flow of the pop world", she wouldn't have released an acoustic-based album that was aggressively rejected by her label, she would have released full-on pop album with some of the things that were "in" at the time or that simply were "pop candy" or something (like Taylor did last year). Ironically, Taylor's label didn't want her to make a full pop album because it's a country label, meanwhile Avril's labels have basically tried to force it upon her. But BMR is an awesome label and they supported Taylor with her decision to go pop; I wish Avril got support like that. This made me so happy to see my 2 favorites perform together! I thought the same exact thing! I think Taylor probably saw an opportunity since there was already so much buzz about both of them in the press, she probably thought "Hey let's show the media we aren't actually fighting." Bet you there will be some articles about it and how they've now "made up." It is good press for both of them and Avril needs all the positive press she can get right now. I wouldn't doubt that Taylor had that exact thought, as she loves to prove the media wrong and debunk rumors about her like when she tweeted that she and Lorde weren't fighting or when she posted that New Romantics wasn't a single.

It would be great if Avril had a label that supported her vision, but IMO it wouldn't be great that she decided to go full-on pop like Taylor did. Of course, if that was what she REALLY wanted to do, good for her, but I wouldn't really support her on that.

I remember that Scott Borchetta wanted Taylor to include 3 country songs, presumably for radio I guess, and she refused. But I guess Taylor can kind of get away with that, while most other artists can't. But Big Machine IS a great label. They really do seem to support and develop their artists, especially the newer acts. The girl you see in my signature, Danielle Bradbery, won season 4 of The Voice US a couple years ago, she was only 16 at the time and they really put effort into developing her, getting the right songs for her first album and letting Danielle pick what she wanted, and now for her second album they are allowing her to write and have paired her with some of the best writers in the industry, they let her choose the first single. The guy that just won American Idol this season, Nick Fradiani, they are letting him take time with his first album and include some of his own songs. And of course with Taylor, well no words need to be said there. I wish Avril could sign with them, I think she would do well over there.

Big Machine have a publishing deal with Republic and Avril probably talked with Taylor after the show because she wanted to get so information about the label. The Avril signing with Republic rumor is true.

Full vide + the introduction wow, I didnt expect that the crowd would sing along to this song and scream that much. I thought most of them are too young to even know Complicated... but it truely is still a timeless perfect pop-song. PS: Nice intro but Taylor seems pretty obsessed with sales...

Big Machine have a publishing deal with Republic and Avril probably talked with Taylor after the show because she wanted to get so information about the label. The Avril signing with Republic rumor is true. She doesn't have to go to Taylor for info on Republic records. Her husband's band (Nickelback) also signed a distribution deal with Republic Records last year and is good friends with Monty Lipman (founder of Republic). So I'm sure, if the rumors of Avril signing with Republic are true, that's where her advise most likely would have come from.
