We can only keep our fingers crossed that a new live DVD will be released. It doesnt seem like this is a priority for epic. Which sucks because Avrils music sounds amazing live it cant be beat.

I think demand is the issue. She hasn't released a DVD since BST. And that was coincidentally when her popularity, album, and ticket sales all started decreasing. They're not going to spend thousands of dollars to make a DVD if they don't believe it can sell and that's pretty much where Avril is at at the moment. She lost a lot of fans during that 4 year period between TBDT and GL and AL hasn't exactly helped bring them back. She doesn't have the same demand she did from 2002-2008. Sad to say we probably won't get any more DVDs unless she moves to a new label that could afford it even if it flops, she funds the entire thing herself, or by some miracle she becomes more popular again. None of those options are very likely though, so I think for now live DVDs are a done deal. Only way I could see it happening again is if she does a big production tour again like TBDT, that is what most artists are doing that have DVDs like Carrie Underwood: Blown Away Tour, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Beyoncé, supposedly Ariana Grande might do one for the Honeymoon Tour, Britney Spears, etc. The bigger the show, the higher the cost of tickets, and therefore they make a bigger profit from it which would give them bigger funds to draw from for a DVD.
Around the time of the AL Tour, like either when it first started or maybe on the SA leg, we put together a survey on the old BA site asking members questions about how much they'd be willing to pay for a DVD, what they'd like to see included, etc. and put together a letter addressing Epic if a DVD would be possible to do for the AL Tour and included the e results of the survey. And somehow BA had connections with Epic or Avril's management and supposedly were able to get the letter to them. Of course nothing ever happened, they probably never even read it.
I'm not even sure if DVDs are funded by record labels or if they hire a production company out of house, but Epic is a very small label with limited resources. I don't even think they do DVDs for any of their artists, not just Avril. I honestly don't think they can afford it, even if they wanted to do it for some of their more popular acts.

It's also worth noting that there have been instances of tours that were extremely popular and successful, yet never got a DVD release, such as The Circus Tour by Britney Spears and The Red Tour by Taylor Swift. There were no reasons given that I recall of why they didn't make DVDs for those tours.

Always wondered why RCA released Avril Lavigne - Live in Seoul 2004 DVD only in Brazil, but not in Korea where they actually shot the video. Wanted to purchase it in 2010, but it wasn't available.

But I don't think they'll do that.. 'Avril Lavigne' is almost 2 years old.. it's not new anymore.

If thats the case I really wish she would change labels already, screw Epic , go to Atlantic or someone else. they didnt even promote her the right way. They force her to do stuff and dont back her up. the appearances are great for her. Other companies are promoting these other artists, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and I cant stand any of them because Im an Avril fan , Kelly Clarkson or a Classic Rock fan , the CARS, Pink Floyd, Yes Motley Crue, Kiss, Guns N Roses, Rush , the Who, the Doors, Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult , the Beatles ect

There were no reasons given that I recall of why they didn't make DVDs for those tours. they didn't give the reason the for no red tour blu-ray but i will she had a new product to sell and had the single out 2 months after the red tour ended she is not going to put out a red tour product during a album product. only speculation if there is a big time gap between the end of 1989 tour and the next product the product might be a Red Tour product but my speculation is Red Tour Box Set Sometime in the Future.

I think the DVD thing is all about song distribution rights and contracts.
