It's kind of ironic and hypocritical how people keep asking her not to treat herself as yesterday's news and then complain about her adding her more recent singles from "LS" on the album. These are literally her most recent songs. Also, I noticed a lot of people complaining about her releasing a greatest hits album because they feel it would focus too much on nostalgia and the past, but these are the same people requesting the 20th edition of "UMS." It's weird. I literally just read this comment on her IG: "You said you would like to do an intimate Let Go tour, now you could take advantage and do it from Let Go + Under My Skin. Of course I'm going to the GH Tour, after all, I'm your fan. But I wouldn't like to hear the same old songs"... So they want a tour with just "Let Go" and "UMS" but they're tired of the old songs? I don't know what some people are actually trying to say, but it seems like it's time to move on and find a new idol for them. They're basically just writing contradictions on the internet just to complain. I love Avril, and it's great that her fanbase isn't involved in drama like pitting her against other artists, but their behavior towards her is simply contradictory, purely for the sake of complaining. This is the thing I hate the most in our fanbase. Nail. On. Head. ALSO. Her Apple Music covers “move” now as of today? FINALLY! I don’t have Spotify but I bet there’s are even cooler.

This is the thing I hate the most in our fanbase. These fans (incluiding myself) were expecting the 20th anniversary editions as a hope to check unreleased tracks, demos and b-sides. These fans also wanted 20th anniversary concerts as a hope to hear her old non-singles being performed again. I thought it was obvious. In the end, they want something exclusive - unheard music and live concerts with tracks that she hasnt performed in more than 15 years not hypocritical at all. You will also find out that many people are complaining about the fact of not having any new and exclusive track on GH album. Fans arent tired of her albums, they are tired of the same damn singles.

I also think she lost a great way to boost some of her most loved non-singles songs on this GH album, like Mobile, FTP and Innocence, for example. I would even include Birdie on the list. Some artists use GH as a way to promote their underrated masterpieces, for example. And people were also expecting at least one new track to promote the album, thats what artists usually do on their GH album.

The GH is just to accompany the tour. GH albums are mostly obsolete now anyway. There are playlists on Spotify with some of the deeper cuts ppl are talking about that could have been included in the GH.
A GH from her is way overdue. If you look at the likes of Pink who’s been around a few more years than Avril, she released her GH relatively early into her career and at a time when CD’s and physical albums were relevant. Avril should have done this years ago and arguably could have helped her career more but hey here we are. In the same breath I know I keep banging on about Glastonbury but the exposure alone from that will remind people of her hits which is why a GH can’t hurt I guess.

Seems like the new pressings are all the ‚expanded editions‘ Meaning bonus tracks, remixes, acoustics and so on. But looks like UMS only got ‚I always get what I want‘ while others got a lot of extras (e.g. How You Remind me on Self titled)

Traditionally 5th albums were GH, assuming you had a solid run of albums before that. Avril should have been on track to do that but she switched labels between her 4th and 5th and her new label obviously wanted fresh material. Then Lyme and by that point no one was doing GH

I don't mind a GH at all, all the big artists have released one at some point in her career, and I think that after 22 years it was about her time.
Also it's something connected to her legacy and the release of the documentary, I'm sure

So you are complaining about a GH and also complaining that she hasn't added Birdie, Mobile, Fall To Pieces and Innocence to a GH album. And I have to believe complaining isn't one of the most common behaviors in this fanbase. Gotcha!

Oh god, I'm Brazilian and Avril has the biggest shows here.
Come on girl!

I wouldn't trust any insider. To me, this is just common sense. She'll always tour Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
Even the Australian press posted earlier this year that she may tour there too. "Insiders" are just trying to generate engagement after the announcement by posting obvious things.
