Not so Complicated! Avril Lavigne shares pictures of her and ex Chad Kroeger writing together a month after their split
In the photo, she's relaxing on a black leather couch while casually clad in a ruffled blouse and cuffed jeans.
Avril also added a snap of Chad. 'Back where it all started ...' she said with a picture of her ex smiling and sitting in a chair while holding onto another guitar.
The 40-year-old is clad in a baseball cap, plaid blouse, and jeans.
The two, who are both Canadian, appear to be in a studio filled with plenty of guitars.
Last month, Avril shared an intimate image of herself and Chad from their wedding in France on Instagram, writing, 'It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today.'
She added: 'Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments.
'We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.'
Meanwhile, Avril, who just turned 31-years-old last Sunday, recently launched a five-week campaign to raise money for children and young adults who suffer from Lyme disease.
The When You're Gone hitmaker did so through her foundation, which she created after she was diagnosed with having Lyme Disease in 2014.
The pop star is working with Prizeo, a digital fundraising platform, to raise money for the Avril Lavigne Foundation.
One lucky fan who donates to her foundation could win a speaking role in her new film Charming.
In a statement, the Sk8er Boi singer said she's excited 'that this year's campaign is supporting people with Lyme disease and helping others to better understand this issue.'
Avril went public with her Lyme disease diagnosis in April, after keeping quiet about it for five months.
She was diagnosed with a severe case of Lyme disease, and at one point, thought she was dying. She revealed that during recovery, there were times when she couldn't breathe, talk or move.
Avril now expects a full recovery.
