Bonez Tour. The famous Budokan gig is hands down her best performance ever [or at least, her best recorded performance - having not seen her live I can't let my opinions get ahead of themselves]
A poll would've been cool.

If we're talking about tours which we've been to, I've only seen her on the last show of the AL Tour, first time seeing her live. It was definitely one of her better shows and we now know that Avril was struggling with Lyme disease during this tour, although she didn't know what the illness was yet.
AL Tour probably has to be my least favorite, although a lot of it can be forgiven due to her illness. The set list was mainly singles and after the Asian leg was over she didn't do anything interesting with the stage or lighting, etc. It was obvious how low budget it was.
That being said, I had the time of my life getting to see her perform. I think it is much different when you're seeing her in person. It was fun to sing along, she brought Chad with her that night to sing LMG together which was a special treat, she did Song 2 on the drums, and she dedicated Hush Hush to BA. The overall tour wasn't great (but again, a lot of it was due to her being sick) but the show I went to was awesome, special, and memorable.

TBDT, it was the first time I saw her live (was finally considered old enough by my parents lol) and was just a fantastic show. I personally disliked the dancers but I mean you can just ignore them and watch Avril. Was really good and she had good crowd interaction at the show I was at. Seemed to be a consistently good tour.
When I saw her on TBST, I still enjoyed it, but it was definitely not as good. I was really happy that it was stripped back, but it was just too chilled for me for a performance. I suppose it was intimate and that was nice, I don't know I'm in two minds about it. I'm happy she was chilled, but also for a paid performance I want to see fantastic quality. It was cheap however, think it was about £20.
My only complaint is the setlist. I have to say 17 songs is too short for someone with 5 albums but that's just my opinion. I can't complain about 17 songs for £20, so I suppose my argument is invalid, and I don't know the prices of the AL tour. But it's sad to see only 17ish songs on a setlist. But then I'm not used to seeing pop artists live.

You might have mentioned this when you wrote your review on the old site, but I don't remember that part. Curious choice of song to dedicate to her premier fansite, but I guess it's the thought that counts.

Oh I know Muse can be pretty awful with setlists, seen them 7 times. They put on a killer show though. Where was this? Still stand by that Muse should be playing 20 songs plus.

I reside in South Korea. And yeah, it was a killer show.

Yeah I suppose I spoke too soon thinking about it. The prices for Avril's shows are no where near Muse's. Although I'm also aware UK prices this tour are more expensive than Europe's (don't know about other places - but because of the stage the prices this tour are extortionate). £73 for standing! So Muse really should put on a longer set. Anyways, off topic now. But as said before, the quality of Avril's sets aren't too great either. Does she even rotate often?

She came here 6 times. (2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014)
Muse came here 5 times. (2007, 2007, 2010, 2010, 2015)
But I've only seen her twice. TBDT and AL.
As for Muse, The Drones World Tour was my first time watching them live.
AL concert (2014) - estimate 100 dollars TDWT concert (2015) - estimate 100 dollars.
Same price.
Muse tickets were all sold out in 5 minutes.
Avril's concert was sadly not a sold-out show. (GL concert was a 10 minute sold-out)

Oh wow that's really interesting, thanks for that In which case, ofc Avril can definitely be let off with short setlists towards the end of the tour due to her health but I really think for that kind of price that setlists should be longer. Aye it's a shame Avril doesn't sell out anymore. On a different note, does anyone know why she missed out Europe? Was it just anticipated lack of ticket sales?

My favourite tour is also TBDT because it was the first time I saw her live and the concert was so awesome! First time I saw her playing drums also.

I think for the next album cycle, Avril should headline her own theater tour. I'm from Chicago and I know there are plenty of 1000-4000 seat theaters she could easily sell out on her own especially if the lead single has the same level as success as HTNGU. The problem with the Avril Lavigne Tour was that she started it (as an opening act) over a year after the biggest single from the album was released and people had lost interest - at least in the US.
It was very disappointing to see Avril as an opening act, I remember hearing people in line calling it "the Avril concert".

My tickets to go see her on the AL Tour were $75 each for orchestra seats, which is extremely cheap for that type of seat and for an artist as big as Avril. The theater she played at was around 3-4,000 seats I think and she sold most seats. The only seats I think she didn't really sell were in the crappy sections.
I've always thought her sets could be about 20-ish songs, given that she did it with TBDT with only 3 albums. However when I've researched sets of other artists like Britney, Taylor, Miley, Carrie Underwood, etc. their sets are about 15-19 songs as well. I think we've got to be a bit understanding that Avril needs to keep her voice healthy every night for an entire tour and just accept it. Since she also began singing IWY in its proper key this last tour I think she also decided to cut some songs in order to save her voice for that one song.
I agree that it's kind of sad how she was able to headline a sold out tour on her first album at only 18 but on her 5th album a decade later she is demoted to an opener for a washed up boy band. It's kind of supposed to happen the opposite way.

It's kind of supposed to happen the opposite way. She didn't have to be demoted. It was merely Epic's choice who didn't have enough faith she could do it on her own. They were probably testing the waters with the final two shows she headlined. Since they proved to be successful, hopefully she will be on her own next tour. Also, getting a semi popular opener would help. I could see someone like Tori Kelly opening for her given that her single hasn't exactly taken off.

It's kind of supposed to happen the opposite way. Yeah that was disappointing, but I think that was the only way she could tour the US tbh. Avril can't even get a GOLD album in the states anymore - her last certified album there was TBDT and I think that sold over a million in the states. I am just glad she can still tour the world tbh cos her album sales for GL & AL have been rather disappointing. When she gets better and if she tours with her next album, I just hope she comes back to the UK cos she missed it during the AL tour Not that I would have went to the AL tour, it looked like one of her worst tours ever (probably because of illness): This has to be Avril's worst performance in history, sounds like she's doing a bad karaoke cover of one of her OWN songs
