Ok, it's not about Ariana, but it's fun. To dilute your serious discussion.

Ok I have no idea if anyone here cares but I figured I'll post this anyway. I've listened to Dangerous Woman a lot more now since my initial review and my opinions have changed quite a bit about it. Side to Side, Leave Me Lonely, Greedy, I Don't Care, and Knew Better/Forever Boy have all grown on me much more and become favorites. There's still a few I'm "eh" on, like Bad Decisions and Sometimes, but I like them much more now than I did. Now I'm actually thinking Yours Truly is her "weakest" album of the 3 (and it's still a pretty solid album). Dare I say Dangerous Woman might actually be her best album so far. I still hate the screaming guy on Step On Up but overall it is one of the best tracks and Jason's Song is OUTSTANDING. To me this album is like My Everything on steroids. Same type of sound but on another level. I really like what they've done with the production on the songs, so many great sounds. It is a like a mixture of old and new, very clearly '80s inspired but sounds current at the same time. I think it's overall a really great album. My only issue is that all the songs are kind of about the same topic. Basically replace the word "love" with "sex" and that's what the whole album is about. But yeah it's overall very enjoyable and some of the songs are just phenomenal. Jason's Song especially is one to watch, hope she does that one on tour because everyone needs to hear it.

I've listened to "Dangerous Woman", the entire album, a lot of times by now. And I have to say I personally really liked it from the very first time I listened to it. Certainly, it gets very repetitive, the lyrics are not the best objectively speaking and all songs seem to revolve around the same topics. But the production is very well done in my opinion and the lyrics, despite being not very creative, are pretty good for a contemporary pop artist. In addition to that, her vocals have improved a lot and the musical direction of some of the tracks seem to have a 90s and 80s throwback sound, which I absolutely love. And even though I love (almost) all the songs on this album, some of my favorites include Greedy, Knew Better/Forever Boy, Leave Me Lonely (which I think is phenomenal), Sometimes and Side To Side. The one and only song I didn't really like at all, from the very first listen, is Bad Desicions. I also didn't really like Everyday at first listen, due to its "poor" lyricalk content, but now it has grown on me somehow and I like it. Step On Up and Jason's Song are good in my opinion, though - at the moment - I'm not very fond of them.

I didn't realize that apparently Ariana has released a new fragrance. It's called Sweet Like Candy.

I looooooooove Knew Better/Forever Boy, I Don't Care and Jason's Song. The only thing I'm sort of unhappy with is that I think Knew Better should have been a song, a whole 3 minute song, and Forever Boy as well. And I love the beginning of I Don't Care so much, but the last half of it is just.. meh. I wish she had sung the "I laugh about the things that used to be important to me" etc part at least twice...

Guarantee you the crowd won't be silent but you'll still be able to hear her loud and clear over the sound system.

I'm curious to see what it smells like. I thought Ari was ok but perhaps too sweet, and I like sweet fragrances, but it smelled kind of cheap in a way? Didn't like Sweet Like Candy at all. It's a shame because I love the bottle designs. I've considered buying Ari but it's kind of expensive so I may wait until it's on sale or something.

Curious to know what you all think about Sweetener so far?
My favorite thing I've heard from the album so far is the intro Raindrops, she posted a clip on her IG awhile back with her sitting on a staircase singing it a cappella. So gorgeous and stunning. For actual tracks, No Tears is still my favorite. I initially thought it was just ok but it grew on me a lot. The video is great too. Then I would say God is a Woman next. I don't know, like I don't get why everyone is losing their shit over it or why her grandma thinks it's the best track on the album or why people are saying it's so new and innovative and different. It doesn't sound like anything super special to me but the message and the meaning is really what I think makes it stand out. The video is actually really good as well. I don't think it's bad, just not as amazing as everyone is for some reason making it out to be. It's overrated IMO and I feel like the only people who keep saying "OH MA GAWD YAASSS KWEEN WIG SNATCHED" are like 12 year olds on Instagram that just love whatever her newest thing is, like they say that it's her best work and the best thing ever every single time she releases something.
I would say The Light is Coming is the thing I like least so far. I would like it more if that annoying sample wasn't there every 5 seconds. The video is alright, nothing special.
Overall I'm looking forward to the whole album, people are saying it's her best work yet, but as I said before, people always say stuff like this. I'm looking forward to hearing the more emotional tracks like Get Well Soon or the Raindrops song. This album is really more about the pain from the Manchester attack and moving on to find happiness after a tragic event.

I’ve never listened to her much but if you think she’s good I will give her a try.
