It's going to be interesting to see what people think of Muse and what their favourite songs are on an Avril board haha. I'm used to seeing Muse fans complain a lot on twitter about everything really. What's your favourite song? Favourite album? Favourite tour? Favourite music video? Least favourite song? And anything else relating to Muse really

For me, my favourite song is probably Map of the Problematique. But I love Sing for Absolution acoustic and Bliss live as well. Think it's either Absolution or BH&R. The latter is more listenable for me but Absolution just works really well as a whole I think. I loved T2L tour, longer setlists and a few rarities back. Although compared to the sets on The Resistance Tour, anything is good. I loved the Psycho club tour as well, if that counts. Not sure I have one, they're all pretty weird/poor. Think it's either Knights or Panic Station. Hmm, probably Screenager. Never been able to get into that one.

I know he has an awesome vocal range, especially for a male.

I only know them for their song "Madness"; it's a really great song! I've never heard anything else from them though.

Time is Running Out is not popular in US? It was my childhood anthem, and I thought it was poppy?

Ah sorry that was a guess from reading what people say on Twitter. I know it started to get Muse noticed but I'd have thought Starlight and Uprising were bigger. My bad. Is Plug In Baby big in the US?

Muse is the most popular foreign alternative rock act in my country, alongside with Green Day and Maroon 5
In my country, "Time is Running Out" defines Muse.
I can say Muse is definitely overrated in my country. Media calls them "Britpop Legend." I know that they are good and incredibly talented, but people seem to throw around the word "legend" too easily these days.
I won't call myself a "Muse fan", but I do have all of their albums - thanks to my friend. And I saw them live this year.
These are my favourite tracks from each album.
1. Showbiz
- Sunburn
- Muscle Museum
2. Origin of Symmetry
- Space Dementia
- Micro Cuts
3. Absolution
- Time is Running Out
- Butterflies & Hurricanes
4. Black Holes and Revelations
- Map of the Problematique
- Assassin
(for some reason I never liked Starlight, can't understand why people say it's "catchy")
5. The Resistance
Meh. Maybe Uprising
6. The 2nd Law
- Follow Me
(Ooooh I forgot this one in the previous post.)
7. Drones

I'm not from US. I just assumed Time Is Running Out was one of their biggest hit songs worldwide.

Ah fair enough, apologies. Oh and ofc I forgot Supermassive Black Hole! That's probably their most successful, surely. They're huge here in the UK but they also get a lot of hate. I suppose they are overrated but they are definitely one of our best live bands and best alternative rock bands. I find that even on an off day or a less than average set they're still really fun and entertaining live. They always put on a damn good show, or have each time I've seen them.

Which band is most popular in UK among these bands - Coldplay, Muse, Artic Monkeys, and Oasis?

I would guess at Oasis, people hate the Gallagher brothers but the band seems to be universally loved. Coldplay get a fair bit of critisicm for being cheesy and Arctic Monkeys are criticised for songs sounding the same and not being the best live. I'd say Muse were second in that list

Oasis were HUGE in the 90s, to the point where it got kind of annoying (I was there). But I'd argue that Muse have slowly become a bigger band than them. Plus they're still active, so...

Checked out their album "Drones" yesterday! It was very good! Some of my favourites are: Dead Inside, Psycho Revolt and Aftermath. I've also heard "Sunburn" and "Madness". They're both great songs! Their music is very good.

IMO, when a band says that their new album's going to be a masterpiece, it's always a flop album.
That's what "Drones" is. The most polarizing album they have ever created.
