I can't contain my happiness!!! Just got my push bike repaired. I was really worried I might have to scrap it but the bike shop repair man fixed it again. Going to try and fix my electric bike next. Need to fix my toilet too. Problems I've been putting off for a long time but getting my push bike repaired is a great weight off my mind. So happy !

Haven't had any of 'downtime' for quite some time now, wonder when that damned depression season strikes back.. It's like a recession or a tiger, it always waits to attack the prey at the perfect moment of letting guard down. I can't contain my happiness!!! Just got my push bike repaired. So happy ! congrats, what's wrong with the toilet, is it an issue with the cistern or the outlet?

I think like 7 years ago i had also similar issues over here, if my memory serves me right, and I had to replace the valve/pipe thing on the wall. The bad part was when the thing just broke off upon nudging it one day (corroded), and water began shooting out of the wall like a geyser, so you better shut off the main water supply before trying anything like that

Ordered prescription, switched energy supplier, washed clothes for work, activated pension account with Aviva, filed away house insurance, put up Christmas decorations, posted Christmas cards, bought food. Electric bike is a lost cause. Nearly feeling organised. Got to get my boiler serviced, do Christmas shopping, fix the toilet and paint the ceiling of the bathroom white as it has a mould problem. Got guests coming for Christmas so have to make the house presentable.

You probably know this already, but first spray or spread some of that anti-mold stuff on the ceiling and leave it for a day or two, then scrape off any parts where mold is thick, spray it again, wait a day, then put on that special paint that supposedly contains mold-preventing chemicals, here we have a company that makes ones with a slight citron smell.

I'm sorry to be a total downer but I wanted to write this in case anyone has been through this and has any advice. I have had my dog for 16 years. Over the last year, he has gotten a lot of health problems. We think he has dementia and he will often whine in the middle of the night or a lot of times during the day as well, it's either from pain or the dementia. I came home today and my dad said he had been doing this for over 4 hours, which is longer than normal. He seemed especially bad today, so my dad called the vet and we made an appointment to have him brought in tomorrow to be put down. Has anyone been through this with their pet? I know it's the best thing to do for him and it will probably be like a relief after it's over with, but it will take a lot of getting used to not having him around anymore. I've had the dog since I was 9 and I'm 25 now, he's a very big part of our family. I got so upset when I found out we were taking him in and it hasn't even happened yet. I even called out of work already for tomorrow because I just know I will be a wreck all day.

I lost my dog Liz five years ago because she was suffering from leishmaniasis which is a very bad disease. She lived for 14 years, but always with invasive and expensive care. In October 2013 her kidneys started to malfunction, so the vet, since she was suffering and there was nothing more to do, told us that it was better to put her down. And so it was. I know it's a horrible situation, and only those who have a pet can understand it. Like you, I with Liz have shared all my adolescence and beyond. Now I have five cats, I love them, but she will always be in my heart. I'm close to you, it will be a big pain for you, but he will stop suffering. It will take some time to get over it, but you will see that you will succeed. Sorry if it's not all clear, but I'm Italian and I translate as I can. A big hug to you, and your beautiful dog <3

Her name was Yo-Yo and she was 8 years old at the time of her passing. She wasn't eating much, can barely move, and the medicine that we gave her didn't last long. When we took her to the vet, we realized that her lungs grew smaller and the bones became weaker as well. She was already gone when the vet did an x-ray on her to check and see what was wrong. It's a sad story and it did messed me up for some time. The only positive thing I can say, is that she died peacefully and lived her life to the fullest. I still have a photo of her on my wallet too. When it comes with advice, there's not much I can do about it. All I can say is to think of all the great memories that your dog has given to you and your family. I know experiencing a loss like that can be heart breaking, but most importantly your dog hasn't died tragically. He lived his whole life and gave you all those memorable moments that'll last forever. My thoughts goes to you and your dog!

I even called out of work already for tomorrow because I just know I will be a wreck all day. Late response, but our family dog died many years ago aged 15. It was a 'farm' dog, no vaccination, basically had it the old fashioned way. It was a very healthy dog throughout its lifetime, but at the end it developed tumours which were big blobs located under the skin. This being a hick land, we've thought that we're gonna let it go naturally, when its time comes. Big mistake. The poor pup was increasingly often in pain, and the last two weeks or so it was in near constant state of either big discomfort or outright pain, howling for hours at a time. We were tight on money and the nearest vet doing euthanasia was far away, so we couldn't decide what to do, it was awful. At the end it died of course, but we've been traumatised by the whole ordeal, might sound unbelievably naive, but we didn't expect it'd be that way. If I even own a dog again, which I severely doubt, I'd never put it up with such a prolonged torture, where it expected of us to somehow make the pain go away, to no avail. I am sure your dog loved living with you, had an exciting life, but it also is better that it goes out in relative peace, surrounded by y'all, instead of a seemingly never-ending dog guantanamo.

I never got a chance to voice my opinion about your pet dog BogoGog24. I have never owned a pet dog but it sounds like taking him to the vet is a good idea. Infact, it probably should have been done earlier. At least he will no longer be in pain if he is put down, it is the best thing for him. I've always been a cat lover, I had two pet cats in my family when I was a child. I didn't really mourn the passing of my pet cats to be honest so I can't really offer any advice on mourning the death of your dog. Just remember he had a full and happy life which has come to it's natural end. He would want you to be happy and not to feel too upset about his death. I hope this helps.
