If ... i were inside the FaceBook team of AL, i were spending my worktime posting things like youtube/VEVO AL videos, or polls, or questions for the audience of the page. A facebook page have a lot of possibilities.

If the page is a page for an international artist of one of the big-five discographies, a flood is a must in that page. A flood from the page to millions of viewers (Avril Lavigne Bandaids FB page has more than 1 million likes. BA can appear in a million of FB walls). And a flood from the viewers to the page. Is feedback. If you have a page of an international artist, you must expect a flood. Is your work. (But maybe is easier to do a little of work, and get a little of feedback. Because the work isn't well payed. "They don't pay me enough to do my work" XD).

How and why has she got her image so wrong recently?
I sometimes think that she became complacent and lost her competitive edge since 4th era. Like playing in small venues, etc...
I don't know. I was reviewing all her music and videos the other day trying to pick out "the edgiest song from each album" for that thread and I did kind of warm to her more recent works. Avril has created her own unique image and style since the 4th era and I kind of respect that even if it appeals to a smaller audience. She's not just another Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera as she could so easily have become.
Whether that was a conscious decision to scale back her fame I don't know. Maybe she was just trying to venture into other avenues like fashion and the clothes she was trying to sell demanded an unconventional style from her. Either way I agree she perhaps lost her competitive edge musically as she probably thought there was more money to be made selling her image in the form of merchandise than music. Whoops, gone completely off topic.

We've had no Twitter/Facebook campaign so far, haven't we? April is approaching and you all know that "Avril" means "April", so we should turn that month into hers. We could begin by finally getting Hot VEVO certified this Friday (or at least try it). So, let's say we could begin at 12:00 (noon) UTC which would be morning in America and afternoon in Australia and Asia. We could use the Twitter Hashtag #WatchHOTByAvrilLavigne and maybe it gets worldwide Trend. Everyone plays Hot at the same time and as we only need 400k views more, it could be vevo certified at the end of the day. A tweet could look like this: "#WatchHOTByAvrilLavigne Watch it here: www.vevo.com/watch/avril-lavigne/Hot/USRV80700301" or something like that. I don't have many Followers but I could contact some more popular accounts (live by Avril, Avril Lavigne Australia, Avril Lavigne Daily, Sweden and so on) and hope that they spread the word. The Bandaid's Facebook page has more than 1M likes, so only one entry asking the fans to watch the video could gain many views. Or is that too much? What do you say?

The main thing is that in the past all fans were very much involved in these campaigns, especially when AVril herself RTed trending topics and stuff. But the last year it was much harder to even reach trends worldwide. Even when we did big planned campaigns :/ And now as Avril is so much offline, her fans is aswell. I know for example Oguz and Irem is busy with school and they're not tweeting as much, me myself same becausse avril is not giving much news so not as active, bandaids the same even though we try to update as much as we can etc. It's a bad timing to reach for a worldwide trend because we have had issues with that even the times we planned a trending topic one week ahead! The video will reach the ceritification soon enough anyways Just like the past ones, but we as fans should of course watch it as much as we can! But personally I don't know if a trending topic would be successful and the more tags we failed with, the more the fans started ignoring the campaigns + feel a bit "useless" about it. So better to wait until we have a bigger reason for a trending topic campaign - in my opinion

And I wish sometimes Avril participated in them more, like she used to do:) She has opened for herself Instagram and was like "Oh, cool, there is no need in even 140 symbols, just photos! that's the way what I always have been dreaming about for interacting with my little black stars..." So, all those twitter trending thingies went to emmm, their support was stopped, as it to say, to not fall in the rules violation with my sexually oriented figurative expressions. Stopped from her side of course. She's just not interested in using twitter that much. Btw, the Hot video is one of her best for me, i watched it sooo many times. So, I'm glad it approaches its deserved status of 100 mln views. Maybe let's do it naturally, without artificial things like these flash mobs which mostly are ending up with something like this: "Ok, I'm gonna take a dump, and since it's gonna be a long process, let's blow up the counter on the Hot video during this."

I have to finally ask the question I've had for like months. Why do we care about the YT views if we want the video to be Vevo certified? Are YT views somehow transferred to Vevo or something? I never really got that.
And another one: When I watch the Avril playlist on Vevo, it shows 99.811.988 views for Hot. When the actual music video comes on, it's only only 99.590.845 and if I watch it completely seperate, there are only 99.578.717 views left. Why? (Sorry if there's already a thread explaining the problem^^)
