With the Avril Lavigne era having five singles, it holds the title of era with the most singles. Ranging from songs like Hello Kitty to Give You What You Like, it's fair to say that we had some pretty diverse songs released. With that being said, do you feel that any song on the album was snubbed by not being a single? Was there any more potential on the album that was unfortunately wasted? If you could replace or add a single to the era which song would it be?

17 should've been a single (lead single imo) and it gives me serious rage that it wasn't

I feel many of the choices listed above could have made great singles: 17, BS, and Hello Heartache.

I feel many of the choices listed above could have made great singles: 17, BS, and Hello Heartache. I agree with those three songs. If I could have voted for all three, I would have. 17 and Bitchin' Summer could have both made great summer singles. 17 would have been great because it's a fun, catchy song, but it also sounds more personal to Avril than HTNGU and RNR.

Although I don't like the song myself, I do know a lot of people seem to love 17 so that probably would've done well for her. Same with Bitchin' Summer.

All the single choices were horrible this era imo (not including gywyl cos that wasn't really a single)
I'd have had..
17 GYWYL Hello Heartache You ain't seen nothing yet/falling fast as a 4th token single

Hello Heartache because it's simply flawless. And I also think that Bad Girl would have been a great single, however doing two collaborations for singles is maybe too much.

Mostly what would have been great about 17 being a single is that there'd have been a music video of some kind. I wouldn't want it to be something cliche and lame like a teenage couple running around at night or something like that, but I would love for it to be a montage of clips from the LG era or a montage of clips from Avril over the years touring and interacting with fans and stuff.

As StuntBrick said, 17 would be a great single because it was so much hype around that song. And the story line get me thinking of Complicated. Hello Heartache have the catchy Lalalala's that people loves! Especially radios Then finally finish off with GYWYL.

17 and You Ain't Seen Nothin Yet would have been good choices. I also think Hello Heartache would've been great too

GYWYL gets all the love, Hello Heartache gets none. It's a cruel and unjust world. 17 is definitely catchy single material, though. I wouldn't want it to be something cliche and lame like a teenage couple running around at night or something like that, but I would love for it to be a montage of clips from the LG era or a montage of clips from Avril over the years touring and interacting with fans and stuff. Brace yourself, because I think the exact opposite. I've never been a fan of montage music videos. It's the cheapest, laziest way to make a music video, barring 4 minutes or so of black screen. I'd rather have something new to look at than a bunch of footage that I've already seen, even if it IS a cliched and lame concept.

On youtube there are surely millions of fan-made Avril montages which will probably use the same footage, it would, as Harvey said be nothing but lazy to do that for an official mv. Furthermore, looking at the GYWYL video kinda proves imo that montages don't work, ok it's not an Avril montage but it is random clips (ie a montage) from that babysitter movie and it really doesn't work. For anyone apart from her fans, clips of her doing something 10 years ago will have no meaning so people wont watch it, sure we'll all be like "Yay look at Avril, awww the memories" but anyone else will just be like "meh". I do agree though that 2 teenagers running about at night or whatever also sounds like a pretty terrible idea, but I'm sure she's got enough people helping her so they'd be able to come up with something between them all.

Personally I like montages because it's nostalgic and it would be a nice homage to her career. It's true that it probably wouldn't mean anything to non-fans, but it would be a nice thank you to her fans who have stuck with her for all these years. She hasn't done a montage video yet so I would like to see one at some point. Taylor Swift has done one for every album, they are actually quite awesome. They are mainly clips from her tours.
