I think the problem with AL5 was that it Had too many delays and her vision changed too much from the end product. GL Had a long wait but her vision comes across the album when you throw out two songs. AL5 is basically a two sided album. The darker one in 2012 and the lighter one in 2013.

None, every Album has it's reason I would erase the label issues so we could get their real versions. I think she should re-release GL and AL with the original tracks and concepts.

I'm disappointed she only performed 1/3 of Love Sux even though it's the title track and her favorite. And she should've at least performed Avalanche or Deja Vu which were probably the most requested songs from the new album. I don't know why she keeps making it sound like it's a tour to promote the album if she's just going to sing hits. I would've replaced tracks like HTNGU or HAW for LS songs for sure. Avalanche should've been in HAW's place and Deja Vu in HTNGU's place. And she dropped HW, which I know isn't her best single, but it was a classic in her live shows. It's sad to see it go, This is definitely a 20th anniversary tour and not an album tour, which is misleading since it's called the Bite Me tour. I'm quite disappointed with the setlist, but at least she brought back classics like Losing Grip and included Smile, which is always fun live, I think the HAW tour setlist was much better and more complete, but this is still better than the AL Tour one. I loved the AL Tour setlist. It had more songs from that album than any other tour that followed. Well we fans basically forced her to perform FF and GYWYL but she did sang them. And it has the Bad Girl Video in it.

I Hope the setlist changes over time. Why is she singing WTH when she doesn't like it?

I am surprised that most fans hate GL and AL5. Every song on AL5 are good just the Tracklist order is bad.

I am so happy that How You Remind Me is part of that album. It's a good cover.

I just relistened to HAW before the new album drops and Bigger Wow is such a random song. I think Avril had 0% influence. I like the song, I like the light sound - but the lyrics are not her style at all, her "innocent-voice" is weird, the topic of the lyrics are not Avril at all... I dont know, this song is just random. I agree. Same with IWIM. Something must have happend there. Either way she changed her mind during the process or BMG forced her into something.

So "Goodbye Lullaby" was supposed to be titled as "Pink Crust". To be honest, I never heard the title before. Fake album title such as "Crash & Burn" was floating around that time. Judging by the title, it seems that it's "The Best Damn Thing" part 2. I think the album title came to life when RCA sent her back to studio to make some upbeat songs. At that time, she worked with Alex Da Kid and produced a 'hit' song (Candy) and some pop rock and hip hop leaning songs and she also worked with Max Martin with upbeat songs such as "Dancing Crazy (1st song they worked together) and "What the Hell" (2nd song they worked together) I think the concept and title were fixed since 2009. She named it after the song Goodbye and I bet it was recorded since 2009. She said that the album would be acoustic and mellow and RCA wanted it to be more pop.

I used to think I liked this album well enough, I never loved it, but I thought I liked it more than most people. However, before Love Sux came out I listened to all her albums again and I was surprised how much I suddenly didn't like GL that much anymore. By the time it got to the end, I was just so bored with it. The concept was good on paper, but the execution was poor, even aside from the Max Martin songs which shouldn't have been there. The second half of the album is where it finally starts to sound like the album she wanted, but ironically it's also the most boring section. All the songs just sound too similar to one another and blend together. The writing is kind of bland and the production is way too simplistic. It's just a boring album to me, to be perfectly honest. I might honestly rank it as my least favorite record from her, at least AL isn't boring even if the production is all over the place. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed that album on a relisten as I always thought it was my least favorite. You have to be in the mood for the album. Just like UMS you just have to be in the right mood.
