What I am going to say will be unpopular. But guys, songs should be hits by themselves, not because fans are doing tricks with youtube or spotify. I think you are taking this too seriously. The song is good enough, let it be good. If not, the fall will be huge. You can't keep doing this forever. I think the right thing is somewhere in the middle. I mean, yes, unfortunately streaming is the most important factor for an artist to chart and yes A LOT (if not all) fanbases do all these tricks. It's an easy way to help your favorite artists chart higher and it's something you can do for free (you don't have to buy 20 copies of his/her album/single or something). I left my computer open the day the single released and had it mute and on loop. It's not a big deal. I wasn't home, or maybe i was doing something else on my computer or maybe i was sleeping. And at the same time, i was a small, tiny piece in an effort of making the song get a recognition. On the other hand, i disagree with some people that cross some lines. I saw some crazy fans attacking BMG on Twitter, insulting them about the zero promos (on its second day for God's sake). Yes, this is crazy. But in general, i don't find it crazy or unreasonable trying to help your favorite artist because as i said all fans, from all the fanbases are doing it and this is how it works today. Streaming is the present and the future for a while.

So it doesn't really matter if she's #2 or #50 on iTunes. Because we celebrate every single green update. The thing that really matters is streaming (and surprisingly nobody seems to care about it, we only concentrate on iTunes) For Billboard streaming is the most important, airplay is second and paid downloads third. Yeah, her fans forgot or simply don't know iTunes isn't that powerful anymore. Is it the same for Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, France? Cause she's doing great on iTunes there

Considering streaming is a way more important than paid downloads for charts - not really. Her number of streams in the US must be pretty low So it doesn't really matter if she's #2 or #50 on iTunes. Because we celebrate every single green update. The thing that really matters is streaming (and surprisingly nobody seems to care about it, we only concentrate on iTunes)

Is she doing any promo today? At least an interview. Even with HTNGU she premiered the single on Ryan and did an interview

I believe it's the instrumental that makes the song so awesome. The explosive chorus with the drums is just... incredible

Put on streaming repeat, Spotify YouTube etc even if it's muted to support also - more than 3 hours in a row. Even all night will be the same. All streamings till the morning. I shall sleep, but HAW still will play!!!! I think Youtube counts only a few views per IP address. You can view it a billion times but they'll only count a few. I think 8? I'm not sure. I don't know about Spotify though. Do they count all your streams? If someone knows
