The song must be so close T.T
The picture is a little bit messy, I haven't seen that photo before, but it seems like a fanmade or something. Loving the lyrics so far, this is gonna be great.

Anyway, I think that in a couple of weeks she will reveal almost everything about the single and some new information about the new era, otherwise it wouldn't make sense teasing new music so soon. I am waiting for the next month for some bigger announcement and hoping for a March single. Spring, the beginning of the warm and life again - would be perfect timing for the upcomig single, reborning of Avril Lavigne Yeah! me too. Maybe last week of February-early March with an announcement in two weeks more or less. It wouldn't make sense tease lyrics and name of songs for nothing. I'm so damn excited, can't wait for it!!

As far as the promotion of the album goes and all that, requesting to radio stations is a waste of time, at least with how radio stations are in the US. They're going to play what their audience wants to hear, which is artists that are currently popular such as Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Adele, Beyonce, etc. I work in the broadcasting industry and my friend that I work with who has worked in radio for years told me that stations will only play a requested song if they planned to play it anyway. Like if they knew within the hour they were going to be playing "Hello" by Adele, they look for somebody who requested Hello and say "James from Anywhere, USA has requested Hello." They skip through all the requests until they find a song they were already going to play. So I really honestly think filling out those radio request things is a complete waste of time and energy. I imagine when Avril puts her new single out some stations might play it, but not as frequently as the more popular artists and more popular songs. I don't care much about "getting her to the top" or anything and I don't think she does either. I want and hope the album/single does well, because it will impact her future performing opportunities, the more popular she is, the more opportunities she'll have, etc. So I'm not saying it's not important AT ALL how it does, but I think we should stop worrying about "getting her to the top," getting her to #1, etc. Those days of her career are long over and to be honest I don't think Avril cares about it anymore either. If her new music does well, great. If not, that's okay too. She is not a new artist anymore, she'll always have her hits that people know from her, she had her golden eras, for now I would just like to see her be able to do what she wants artistically and not have to worry about making hit songs or being #1 or anything like that. I think her first single will definitely be Warrior or some song with a lot of meaning, referencing her illness. I don't think we're going to get another WTH or Girlfriend or HTNGU type song. Her recent Instagram posts and tweets do not indicate any such thing. Her new direction seems to be referring a lot to themes about strength and that kind of thing. I think people will like it. I've been seeing a lot of references to Avril lately on social media, with a lot of people excited for her comeback because they remember her from the good old days. People may have forgotten about her in the last few years because those albums didn't make a big impact, but people still know who she is and they have fond memories of her old hits like Sk8er Boi and MHE. Her illness was pretty widely publicized and I think people are kind of rooting for her, similar to when Britney came back after her meltdown and people were rooting for her and her album did really well. I completely agree with you. Radio stations play whatever they want, they don't care about the quality of the song. Even some Adele's songs are flopping because radio doesn't support them. I think that it will depend on the amount of money her label is willing to pay for publishing her new music (if she has a label, we will see), and also it will depend on the kind of music she will bring back to the scene. If the new music suits well with the style that sounds today I think she won't have any problem. I doubt she will get a number 1 anymore, but a top 15-10 is affordable. I also agree with the fact that she won't bring another HTNGU or WTH as I said in my last post, and probably Warrior will be the first single. I don't use to believe Panduro at all, but he seems to love the song, what is a good signal. Anyway, I think that in a couple of weeks she will reveal almost everything about the single and some new information about the new era, otherwise it wouldn't make sense teasing new music so soon.

I think that music industry today is a mess somehow. I just can see artist publishing empty songs with the same instrumental formula and stupid lyrics. Excepting some artists that really do good music for me (Sia, Adele, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran) for example, the rest have followed a trend that is leading the industry to a bad direction.
Back in 2013, when Avril released her last album, things were different, even HTNGU did really well in charts and sales, even though the song didn't hit at all. Rock N Roll was a completely flop, but the song is amazing in terms of what the song wants to aim. It is true that the image she showed was over produced, immature and totally out of the spot. What she really needs now is a deep song with a meaningful message. People love her when she releases things as Wish You Were Here, Give You What You Like, or even Let Me Go that got good critics. When You're Gone, Innocence, I Will Be, for example, are those kind of songs that general public loves. I think she needs her own Hello (but taking her battle inside, her reborn and all those things as central topic) something deep that moves people's heart. She has a great voice to aim that, she knows how to create amazing melodies and she needs to take advantage on that.
I want to believe that the first single (I expect it in february, early march) is gonna be a power ballad or a powerful mid tempo. Releasing a HTNGU 2.0, WTH 2.0 or something that Katy Perry will put on the spot in a couple of weeks is not the best idea right now.

I believe that the lead single is coming in february-march more or less. So we are getting the album around may or june (even april being optimistic). Everytime she teased something related with music, it ended in an official confirmation sooner or later and this time she's going even beyond. I remember when she revealed the name of HTNGU, it finally came two months later. I don't think Warrior is the lead single, probably an album track or a future single, but who knows.
