The distorted female vocal in the intro and the background "YEAH" in the chorus sound like her, but this may all be a reach.

Fun fact: Take It apparently ended up on the My Happy Ending single due to a former Bandaids admin's (Victoria, I think) influence during a radio interview or something along those lines. I think there was a snippet floating around and she asked if it was going to be released, or if she could release it on the next single so we could hear the full version. Yes! I'll expand slightly; Avril had mentioned the song a couple of times during the Mall Tour radio promo that she was doing which resulted in all of Bandaids members to yell PLAY "TAKE IT" when she was on stage and also ask Avril about it during Q&A sessions etc. The final tracklist came out and Take It wasn't on it, which was disappointing but Avril somehow communicated to us that it would have its moment, and it did!

I’ll never understand why she talked about fighting so hard for these songs and then never performing them live. So she sat on this album for a year, fighting to finally have it released, and then doesn’t even perform most of those songs anyway? What was the point then? or the songs that she DID perform live regularly were the ones not included in her original vision? it's so weird. on a side note; i dont think she realized how lucky she was with UMS and TBDT that the label allowed her to take the reins and map everything out without having any A&R input until the the product was in its final stages (there were whispers of problems with TBDT but we'll never know about that). As BogoGog24 said, GL was off-brand and not very exciting/demonstrative of pure raw talent, so as business partners, they do have a right to step in and attempt to package things in a more sellable way.

there's something kind of ironic/funny/sad about how online stalker fans can call out real life stalker fans straight away.

And then she started playing Fenders for pretty much the rest of her career.
Jokes aside, since I haven't seen that much live footage yet and I'm curious: what brand and model of guitar does Avril actually "prefer"? I've often seen her with Telecasters and sometimes Stratocasters. Though I think they're mostly Squier rather than Fender? Is that pretty much it? Strange that she'd prefer Squier to Fender given that the price bump isn't really a problem for her. I've only seen one or two pictures of early in her career with a Les Paul and an SG. Any weird choices throughout the years?
Earlier on in her career she was playing Les Pauls and she did a few shows with Flying Vs before settling on an SG. After that she pretty much settled on a slew of customized Fenders. The only time she's played Squires are her own line, I believe. When she did SNL to promo UMS, she used Deryck's guitar... I can't think of anything else that stands out!

That "movement" (lol) wasn't started by Avril anyway, I believe it was a tshirt and book before she may have adopted the sentiment! what movement? "boys are stupid. let's throw rocks at them"

i don't mean to be a killjoy but i think everybody needs to calm down with her mentioning back-to-back albums. take it with the grain of salt that we've learned is necessary to take when avril says things like this!

Let Go has always remained my favorite Avril album cover. I love the background effect on the cover, as to me it represents that life is fast-paced and always changing around you. This theme is one that is reflected on the album in songs such as "Mobile": "everything's changing when I turn around, all out of my control, I'm a mobile". yes, I kinda think of the cover of Let Go like the aesthetic for the song How Does It Feel, especially the first verses.

I mean if we're going to talk about sameyness, we need to shout out GL; an album in which ~ half the songs (Wish You Were Here, Stop Standing There, I Love You, 4 Real, Darlin and Remember When) literally all start on the same chord. Negotiating the pacing on her albums is a bit challenging, especially when there are songs that stick out like sore thumbs in certain places, but that's all part of working on a project with multiple producers- there's not always going to be a cohesive feel throughout; especially with an artist like Avril who wants to showboat the different types of music she can come out with.

^ yeah she sported that same look for a few of her performances. I'm guessing that was close to the end of the tour so she was tired af. But does anyone know for sure? I've always wondered. Maybe she was also wedding planning at the time. If i remember correctly, this was before the tour, this was the promo tour for UMS; i want to think that she was maybe under the weather for this whole overseas promo, cause in the UK, Asia and Australia she was looking kinda disheveled and tired.

i dont think it's deep or medical or anything surprising, her hair was probably damaged from wearing extensions for so many years so now when she's posting things or out and about, she pops on a wig cause it looks perfect and is easier, and her natural hair can take a rest. more stars than you know wear wigs all the time!

This was painfully disappointing.
Also- i'm seeing a lot of praise for her vocal performance, but I found that to be one of the most concerning parts.
