I love Petals for Armor! I love how versatile it is yet the album is still learning how to cope with your past, and hope for the future. I also love how Hayley created the songs based off what she wanted to make and experiment with.
I will admit that I also love this album because what Hayley describes is kinda what I view with my life right now. I'm a pessimist, I deal with Imposter Syndrome, but I'm trying to learn how to deal with my past, not let the past affect my future, and acknowledge that I deserve everything I have.
I will say that with the first part, I low-key expected a darker toned album. As the rest came out, I was like "What?" but it makes sense now as an evolving story.
So far, my favorite songs are Sudden Desire, Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris, Pure Love, and Over Yet. My favorite songs to sing while driving are Dead Horse, Taken, Cinnamon, and Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris
P.S. I low-key hope Taken is about Hayley and Taylor

Okay this might sound weird but I'd go ask anyway  I have never heard any of Paramore's songs. I know who they are but I simply no nothing about their music. Is there any song you would recommend to "start" with? Like, a real popular or "great-to-hear-for-everyone" on? I'm curious! |

My intro to them was Misery Business. Like GF it is a song of the times so I hope it doesn't turn you off. IMO it was their breakout song. |

I was hoping Josh would do something after leaving the band but unfortunately that never happened. I grew out of their music after brand new eyes. The band lost its appeal to me.. I miss the guitars though Hayley’s vocals are great. |

I was hoping Josh would do something after leaving the band but unfortunately that never happened. I grew out of their music after brand new eyes. The band lost its appeal to me.. I miss the guitars though Hayley’s vocals are great. Actually Josh did form a band called "Farro" but it didn't last long. They even made an album I think. I remember liking their song "Color Rush", but tbh it's not that impressive. I think he also wanted to make a solo project or something but then I never heard about it again. Btw here's Color Rush: |

I did, but honestly I only made it about halfway through before I just took quick jumps through the rest of the songs just to be sure they all had that kind of sound. I just can’t get into such a mellow sound when that’s what the whole album is. I did like Simmer and Dead Horse off of Petals For Armor but that’s it. Besides that, this new album makes me wonder if this’ll be another year without a new Paramore album, or maybe late in the year at best. Seems like she’s been pouring most of her recent musical efforts into her solo career. The style she’s gone with for her solo albums does make me a bit worried about the direction Paramore will go for the next album though. |

^ I think they're her solo albums for a reason. But I also think PFA isn't much different from what Paramore has evolved into this last decade. So you may be onto something.
About Flowers For Vases, I'm sort of on my third listen, if you don't count shuffle and skips. This album is very mellow. It's not something that I'm usually into for albums but despite how boring it could be, I very much enjoy the production on her albums. This one seems to have more acoustic guitar and piano. It's a lot less technical than PFA. I think her music in general are "growers". So far, I really like Over The Hills, Wait On, and maybe Trigger.
But yeah Jinkx I don't think you'll like it lol
