A photoshopped pic that took the time to add the tattoos? I dunno... It looks real to me. And I have never seen any similar pics of her (face-wise) not a fan of the garter belt and that crop top X'D But I like that red bow!!  |

100 not photoshop. It's by Mark Liddell as it says and given to avril Russia probably by Sony Russia or someone else they payed for. Avril Russia ALFCHK and bandaids France are the communities who usually get these rare photos from either sony or even, bandaids France even pays money sometimes to get the best photos  they have a bunch of photos in their storage that they haven't uploaded yet. And one of my sources actually told me when the trench coat hello kitty picture came out that there was more photos floating around that could get released because hello kitty was originally going to be a bigger single with more promo shoots. Let's hope for HQ photos! |

O.o I'm assuming they planned it to be bigger BEFORE the release of the record...just because these pics seem to have been taken around the same time as the rest of the album photoshoot, and the video ended up looking low-budget >> |

I wonder why they were never released? If these were taken in 2013, that was long before she ever got sick. I could understand if there was supposed to be a big promo plan around the release of HK and then when she got sick, they scrapped that. But these photos seem to have been taken long before that happened.

But these photos seem to have been taken long before that happened. It was probably originally in the line-up for singles but things just happened and it never came to fruition... She's had issues with singles since day 1 unfortunately... Especially with Rock n Roll's promo/campaign being a failure, and either the song or video (can't remember which...) being so late... |

This pic was definitely taken in early 2013. 100% sure. Her hair looks exactly like it did back then, and it was before going platinum blonde again from RnR era onwards. I'm pretty sure it was part of the AL photoshoot, probably a HK themed section of the shoot. She was probably going to include one of these photos in the album booklet to go with the HK lyrics, but scrapped it because maybe it didn't fit the rest of the concept.

Wow... That's, uh, hot. I could see why it's unreleased, however. Being 30 and still having pillow fights while one layer away from being naked probably would not be very beneficial for her image. Not like the Hello Kitty music video did any better. I guess being nearly naked was deemed too controversial? As for paying for photos... maybe we could all chip in to buy some professional Avril photoshoots?  |

I'm going to assume that if HK had gotten more promo it would have been restricted to Japan/Asia only. Remember how the original plan was to release HK as a single exclusively to Asia and GYWYL for the rest of the world? Her Asian fans I'm sure would have loved it and supported it a lot so it would have made sense to release it there and keep the promo limited to just Asia. I think they knew that the rest of the world wouldn't have liked the song or supporters that image/been receptive to it which is why they decided to go with GYWYL. Unfortunately she got sick so I guess they decided to just drop the entire thing.
I don't think it would have mattered much of these photos got released. She has appeared in her underwear and in skimpy clothing before. Yes the photo looks "immature" but it fits with the lyrics of the song (We can roll around, have a pillow fight) And if they had released GYWYL at the same time I'm sure they would have released a more mature set of photos to balance it out with. Maybe Avril herself just decided she didn't like the photos or its because the whole promo plan was scrapped that they were never released. Or maybe they are considered "too controversial" for the Asian market, who knows.

A couple centimeters to the "controversy". begin of boring ranting I don't like she posed almost naked to be honest. except that case with a bear (or duck) - there, it was artistic. I do this especially because she seemed to not like this. She often said that those photoshoot guys wanted her to pose (nearly) naked. And she doesn't want this. Not her style, she is not selling sex. And I always was like "oh, cool, such a respectful position I like it, it rocks etc". And then, "finally" they undressed her. Like this is the only thing they could think out - get a star show her naked body as an attractive point or emphasize heavily this "sexy" side. We saw almost naked avril at expense of screwing up her distinguishing principles. "cool". Also this image is out of her totally. "Rock chick" posing like a sexy bimbo with pillows and bunny's ears.. >_< end of boring ranting |
