Avengium : You pointed out everything just fine. And that's actually what queer is about (not saying that means you are queer, though). But in queer-theories it's said that gender is - unlike the sex - fluid, you are gender-wise never just girl or boy, but both at the same time and influenced by your surroundings and your very self. That of course doesn't mean you are genderless, it means you can feel and embrace both at the same time, boy and girl. This also doesn't affect your sexuality. Frida Kahlo is actually a good example for that. Butler goes that far, that she states normativities such as he and she
do only exist in the world of speech, cause we created them and they were not created by life (again, sex is, gender is not- not to confuse these two). In a further formulation: your social preferences do not automatically give away your sexuality or are entitled to them. And social preferences and everything anyway is relative. We state them girl or boy, cause we created them and therefor are used to them by being girl or boy (e.g. Boy --> blue, masculine; Girl --> pink, feminine).
So you go beyond normativity by liking things that are translated into girl, but that doesn't make you metro-, bi-, or whatever-sexual. Society of course pressures you to state your self out as defined as possible so you fit in and follow these normativities. The queer-movement by the way is about that, too: revolutionize the normativity and gender-set-definitions, shake it lose a bit. Don't get over yourself, cause you don't get everything you like/want to be, when it doesn't fit anywhere precisely. You can like/be all you wanna be without being labeled, especially with terms as boy or girl. The world is a hard, bitter and extremely hurting place, it's harder even to get along, but I am sure you'll be fine as long as you don't change for something that's not worth changing for.

Well, I guess I'm asexual, then xD I think I've known for a very long time but I've only actually started realizing one or two years ago, and reading what @t1spork , Light02 , and @blackstarghost wrote made me even more certain. I've never been in a relationship nor have I ever desired to be in one. And like the following quotes say: I find it really hard to wrap my head around the fact that most people actually do want to have sex, haha. I'm repulsed by the idea of sex [...] I can't wrap my head around that people actually do have it But even when I was younger (like 14 or so) I never, in any way, thought there was anything wrong with me or worried about the fact that all my friends started having boyfriends / girlfriends and I simply didn't and didn't even want to. I just always felt completely content with myself as to that, and I still do. Maybe that's why I never felt the need to sit down with my family and friends and go like "I'm asexual". To me that would be like saying "I'm human" lol. My parents and siblings know, though, but they're the only ones. But I am not hiding. Being asexual is just so natural to me that it's not even in my head that I might have to explain it to anyone. (I do, though, if asked ) However, I get a little annoyed when I tell someone about that and they're just like "well, you're still young, you still got loads of time, you probably just haven't met the right one yet" -.- Lol, is there some sort of correlation between being asexual and an Avril Lavigne fan? I'm amazed how many of us are here!

I'm probably pansexual or polysexual? It's actually something I've not really worried about tbh, labelling myself has never been a big issue for me. People who know me just know what I'm like. I'm much like that in most aspects of my life - I don't care what your gender/sexuality/race/religion etc is, chances are I don't like you... My gf's flatmate says I come across as gender fluid, but again it's not something I've really thought about.

Isn't it pride month right now? If so, I sincerely doubt the location was accidental. And I read that the shooter's father said his son got angry when he saw two men kissing.

It could be a homophobic attack for sure, and there's evidence to back that claim up. Although personally I wouldn't jump to that conclusion so quickly.

What happened is extremely sad and it must be a true nightmare for their families and friends. Not sure if there will ever be evidence if it was a homophobic attack or "only" a terroristic background, I dont even know if knowing it would change anything - it both cases onnocent people died for nothing. Unfortunately this wont make any difference to the gun laws in the US, it wont make any difference in the hate against the LGTBQ-Community... This is just really sad

So of course we don't wanna precast any conlusions, but at the same time his ex-wife told the media that he got offensive when he was surrounded by homosexual, especiall gay people. Maybe he was fighting his inner homosexuality and couldn't take it anymore. We can't know that for sure, but he was a someone who was fighting inner demons for sure.

I agree, I think he might of been stuck between him trying to be himself and his family and friends religious convictions.

Evidently. While being a teenager can be a bit confusing sometimes, you are nevertheless the world's leading expert on your own thoughts and feelings. I don't know if I'm the most qualified person to help you with this, but if you define yourself as a heterosexual asexual then so be it.
Having said this, to me it makes perfect biological sense that you're sometimes curious about having a relationship with someone - presumably a girl, unless I'm woefully misunderstanding you. I might get some flak for saying this, but I don't believe anyone hasn't had one moment in their lives where they've at least considered heterosexual relationships. It's hard to completely suppress millions of years of instinct.
