Awesome write up Andrea. I just watched it and I could not keep my eyes off of her. She is absolutely in the prime of her game. I was totally blown away at how effortlessly she sang some really hard notes and runs. She has a lot of air. Taylor is a force of nature and and a fricken genius to boot. We know that Jack is used to being around her artistry but I’m thinking Aaron was in complete awe, and he did great job keeping it together.
At this point Swizz is so far ahead of contemporaries in the quality of work she’s putting out I don’t see how she can’t pick up a few more Grammy’s even though now I get the feeling they don’t mean as much to her as they use to.......she strikes me now as a sorta Picasso like musician, creating continuously because she must.
I throughly enjoyed the whole hippy Woodstock vibe. Tay’a a cool chick. Unpretentious and real. Comfortable in her skin and so so talented. YouTubers are out trying to cover her stuff but even the good ones can’t really compare. I’ll just come out say it. I love her a lot. She’s always striving to get better.

Yeah another thing I thought was interesting is how she was scared to tell her label about the album but of course they were completely supportive. Because any label knows Taylor Swift can literally put out a 5 second clip of static and have it hit #1 (that actually happened once). I know she went through a lot of BS with Big Machine so I get her trepidation, but it’s great that she’s now with a label where she doesn’t have to fear that anymore. And of course she now also owns everything she makes.
Another point I wanted to mention about mirrorball is that I never knew exactly what the lyric “I’ll show you every version of yourself tonight” was referring to, so to hear her talk about how we are different versions of ourselves depending on who we’re with, I thought was really interesting and I never connected that idea to the song before.

Question: was the Bon Iver’s mask really necessary?

Question: was the Bon Iver’s mask really necessary? I was wondering this as well and I haven't seen anyone address it anywhere. He was filming his part remotely from another location and appeared to be by himself, so the mask would seem unnecessary. But maybe it is a shared studio, so even though he filmed alone, maybe other artists use that studio? Maybe it was to keep the microphone sanitary? I thought the whole thing was very strange, so then I thought maybe he's one of those artists who likes to conceal his identity (like Sia), 'cause he also had a baseball cap on and you could hardly see his face at all. I don't know anything about Bon Iver as an artist, in fact I didn't even know that was a stage name until he started working with Taylor. But I Googled pictures of him and he's clearly showing his face.

Does it matter? He sounded great imo. He's got a strong voice.

I’m interested to hear her current vocals on TS. I feel like part of the charm of that album is that she sounds quite young and has that country twang. Excited to see what she does with it, it’s one of my favourite albums of hers. Katy, have you watched folklore on Disney +? She tells the whole story of The Lakes.

I’ve heard bits of the commentary/performances but no not for the lakes! What does she say?

She tells the history of it and how she visited Wordsworth’s grave and could see herself ending up there, sorta of.

We went to his grave last year - it’s in a little churchyard in a village, so odd to think of someone as famous as her there haha. Wonder if she’ll buy a second home here one day - lovely place to live if you can afford it..!

I've watched it too last weekend and really appreciated all the little talks before performing the songs! I loved how she explained the meaning behind it and for example Mirrorball (I always loved that one) had given me a whole new perspective! And my gosh her talent! She's so good!! After watching that one I watched the Reputation Stadium Tour also (I went in 2018 to London for that tour) so I was totally into Taylor last weekend

She just posted a bit of the re-recorded Love Story which is being used for an advert. Sounds great! Starts about 35 seconds in.
