www.straight.com/article-95213/avril-exaggerates"Avril Lavigne rarely misses an opportunity to paint herself as punkier than Sid Vicious. It's no surprise, then, that in the current issue of high-powered U.S. glossy Blender , the raccoon-eyed pop-punk princess comes off as more combative and ill-mannered than Johnny Rotten on a bad day. Those who've long suspected that Lavigne is somewhat less-than-legit will find ammunition for that argument halfway through the cover story. After claiming "I used to drink like a motherfucker," the pride of Napanee, Ontario, goes on to recount how she ended up with her husband, Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley. According to the story, "They met at the Roxy in 2002, the same night bouncers kicked her from the club–twice–for fighting." As much as it sounds like a great story for the kids, the problem is that it's not exactly true. "She wasn't kicked out at all," Roxy spokeswoman Christine Van told the Straight . "I asked the [bar's] managers if anything of that nature took place. It never happened." Van said that, according to staff, Lavigne only visited the Roxy once, in the early 2000s, whern she spent the night ensconced in a back area of the club. Lavigne is represented by Vancouver's Nettwerk Management. Asked whether Lavigne might have invented the Roxy story, Nettwerk spokesman Rich Adams told the Straight "I think we'd better go with no comment."

To be honest that whole Blender shoot plus interview was cringeworthy in general. Especially when she was clearly topless on the cover and tried to say she wore a top but they photoshopped it out and covered it with a banner. Thankfully her interviews these days are a little more... I don't know. Like she's not trying to pursuade people she's this badass motherf***er.

for those, who has built their love for AL on the fact she was kicked out from the club in 2002, it's really a very disappointing news. Otherwise, the article reads ridiculous - "guys, can you imagine, she was not kicked out from the club! Twice! how can I live farther?..." Yes, she embellished her own "punkiness", we already know she is much "fluffier" than she wanted to seem. And this fact is fun. Back then she also started to deny this whole image in her when seeing people are getting "dissatisfied" with its forced state. This is called youthful maximalism. She wanted to look cool and chose that behavior, which in her opinion, would give her to achieve this. We love her for this. I just noticed I wrote (unintentionally) "we", whereas it meant "I". Seems I was caught by the same stylistical trap. For your information - still it's written by me, not my management.)))
