I'd say it's too difficult to guess if someone supports something like this without asking them. Unless Avril's already spoken publicly about it? Lily Allen has been very outspoken against TIDAL, but all her music is on it so it looks like it'll be irrelevant how the artists feel about it anyway, which sucks for them. The prices are:$9.99 / ÂŁ9.99 for the "premium" level which doesn't make sense ($9.99 = ÂŁ6.70 and ÂŁ9.99 = $14.91) or $19.99 / ÂŁ19.99 for the "hi-fi" level ($19.99 = ÂŁ13.40 and ÂŁ19.99 = $29.83) Personally I don't use Spotify and it'd take a hell of a lot for me to use a streaming service enough to warrant paying for it, I prefer to actually have music and not be sitting on the internet all the time. (I only use youtube for the occasional video or to listen to a new artist until I've bought their album/EP or whatever)

Can someone check if her music is on there? It's funny how their catchphrase is #TidalForAll and yet it's only available in the ''relevant'' countries.
Avril's catalog is on Spotify and on other streaming services, so I'd say that she's not against streaming. But yeah, as long as they don't ask her we'll never know th answer. She won't speak on her own about it for sure.

Before Spotify I would just buy album from the artists I like and download the rest illegally. Now, I still buy albums and just listen to the rest on Spotify. All legal hehe

I use Spotify Premium and I like it a lot - but I dont understand at all what this TIDAL-Thing is about. To me it seems like Jay-Z plays the saviour of the artist but just wants to make another billion of $.
I doubt that Avril has thought a lot about all this. She isnt friend with any of the TIDAL-group and it often seems that she doesnt really care or understand how music business works today. I also doubt that she is interested in making even more money, she seems fine with the millions she already has.

Being against streaming doesn't seem to have much impact on whether you can stream someones music or not, as I said Lily Allen is against TIDAL, but all her music is on it...

Taylor is against Spotify so she took all of music from it. So if you're really against it you can ask your label to take it down. From what I have seen Lily is not really against Tidal she just doesn't see the point in artist owning a streaming service and demanding 20 bucks a month.
I googled a bit and found out that Tidal is paying the artist 70 cents per 100 streams while Spotify is paying ''only'' 11 cents per 100 streams, but we have to take into consideration that Spotify has a lot more subscribers so artists are (as of now) making more profit via Spotify since they have more paying subscribers.

Taylor is on tidal instead From what I gathered (I didn't really pay much attention so I might be way off the mark) but Lily seemed to be saying that it's going to drive people back to illegal torrents and will ruin the industry making it near impossible for up-and-coming bands/artists to break into the mainstream

It's not even the problem with how much a service pays the artists. You pay 10 dollars for premium and it's free for regular users, she doesn't want her music to be free. Her music would still be on Spotify if it wasn't for the free subscription Spotify offers...

I have premium. But Spotify could make it so if you want to listen to Tay etc. You have to be premium user. Cause really there isn't much different from paying for it and not. But i don't understand the tidal thing. Avril should stand on the outside watch how it develops.

Tidal is getting a lot of negative press. Just take a lot at the video in the OP the like to dislike ratio is 1:5. But hey it's Avril we're talking about, she probably doesn't care about Tidal, Spotify or iTunes at this point...

I don't use spotify, I prefer iTunes as it syncs across all of my apple devices and I don't like adverts in my music, nor do I want to pay monthly for something that I can buy once No clue what tidal is, to me it looks similar to spotiify

I wonder how they get all the music from every artist. Don't they need to Pay for the lables to put the music up? I think Kate Nash and Lenka are on Tidal too but they have there own record lables, so I think they need to buy the music from them or how does it work? I think iTunes is the best because you can buy the album/single with good quality and you can convert your CDs you bought.
