It's not a matter of taste, it is listening and taking note of what is good and bad, you know... Like, you have to separate what you like and what you don't from what is really good and what is really bad. I didn't put it in my list cause it wasn't one of my favourites of the year, but it was indeed one of the best ones released in 2016. "Cry" for me is the one that stood out the most, it's so powerful. Just "Store" that disappointed me, it lacks in quality compared to the others... If you asked me, I'd say that "Side B" it's even better than E.MO.TION Revolution Radio is good, and I didn't listened to the Volbeat album, gonna check it out. What song do you think I should begin with? Okay I think you misunderstood my post. I didn't mean the best albums quality-wise, I meant (like you) my favorite albums this year - the albums I've enjoyed the most. "Cry" is powerful I guess, but it's also a bit boring imo. I agree that "Store" is the weakest one. The Volbeat album: You should begin with "For Evigt"! It's my favorite on the album and not because I'm a dane (the chorus is in danish ). It's really catchy and feels atmospheric. They also made the song with an english chorus, it's called "The Bliss" - though it's not as good imo. You should listen to "Let It Burn" and "The Gates Of Babylon" as well. "Mary Jane Kelly" is good too. "The Devil's Bleeding Crown" did well on charts (it went nr. 1 on billboard's rock chart iirc), and I know that "Black Rose" and "Seal The Deal" are very popular too - these three songs are fine imo, maybe you'll like them? There is a lot of good guitar-work all over the album, and the singer is doing a great job aswell imo. I'm sorry about that! Yeah, I got you wrong... I'm looking forward to the Volbeat album!!! Gonna listen to it, beginning with For Evigt hehe I'll tell you my thoughts later. Thank you... New music is always nice!

I think the OP means albums that were released in 2016, not albums you listened to in 2016. Because most of these were released years ago.

Definitely "Mad Love." by Jojo!! Her first official album in 10 years due to label issues. It's such a strong comeback with really good r&b/pop songs! My fav songs off the album right now have to be Clovers and I Am.

Yesss, The Holographic Principle! I saw them live in Tilburg with the album presentation, and it was really an amazing experience. Undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best release of 2016. yesyesyesyesyesyesyes I honestly love THP so much that I haven't stopped listening to it since it came out.
