She must be a nightmare to have as an artist, if you're a label.

Maybe this Christmas, 1 year after the announcement, she releases the 1st single.
Maybe March 2nd single + New record

Sheβs partying because itβs Halloween season. Has nothing to do with the album. I honestly feel like she probably scrapped most of what she had and started over from scratch. Thereβs no reason it should be taking this long to complete if she already had lots of songs done. I know it's Halloween was just trying to look for positive

Maybe she's going to release 2 albums? One Christmas album and one normal album? Nah, that's highly unlikely.

I kind of get the feeling that the recording of this album is going sort of like the recording of TBDT. She has a vision for the record and probably had a bunch of songs in mind or recorded for it and then came J.R. Rotem for the singles and she's having such a good time working with him and enjoying the work they are doing that she is recording more with him than originally intended. It doesn't mean that anything is going wrong or the label hates it and are making Avril rerecord the whole album or that she's changed her original vision for the record. The same thing that happened with TBDT, she had a vision and an album done and then came Luke for the singles and they worked so well together they recorded more and he ended up producing most of the songs we got on the album. BMG are probably happy to let Avril record with Rotem because he's a hit producer so the more work from him the better the chances are of a hit single.

Let's see if she takes a vacation from the studio to go see her new niece.

Do I see her keeping an Avril spin, but incorporating more timeless AND current instrumentals? Yes. J.R did some work with Leona Lewis. I think we'll be getting her best ballads to date (piano based), some fun/light and breezy accoustics, and maybe even some material a little rhythmic leaning (think Bruno Mars).

Peopleβs obsession with her old sound will be the reason she flops. At least it seems that the majority of members on bandaids are the only ones who are like that. On other platforms, I see people willing to allow Avrilβs sound to grow and evolve. Keeping an artist in a box like that is part of why they end up on independent labels and then financially unable to continue to make music because no one knows theyβre making records anymore so the fans end up not knowing that they can support their favorite artist.

She hasn't done a good version of "her sound" since TBDT, so I'm happy (/keen) for her to move on from it tbh.

I find wrong to distort an artist deeply from the main genre for which is known or in any case that characterizes her. If you think about it, Avril has started losing fans after 'Under My Skin' because many complained that she had changed too much; even though TBDT has been a commercial success. So it's okay change something, explore, but she also have to stay true to herself... Avril has conquered us with pop rock, it's the genre that mark her.

I've always been one of those fans who wanted her to keep her typical pop/rock sound for AL6. But since "Wings Clipped" has been released that changed somewhat.
I've listened to that song several times by now and came to realize that, despite it still not being entirely my taste with that techno (?) stuff, it has a very fresh sound to it that I like a lot. And that's what Avril should aim for for AL6. A fresh sound. Something light and modern (but with decent production, of course. No unnecessary autotune and fake instruments, please!).
So, as long as she doesn't change her sound completely and go to stuff Γ la HK or some kind of dance/club music, I'm pretty much open for anything at the moment.

Whatever sound she does go with, I want a cohesive body of work. She hasn't made that since TBDT due to label interference (GL), and lack of inspiration & vision (AL).
