The producers she wanted or the ones BMG wanted? I really don't see how she would have gone out of her way and delayed her album for the producer behind Jason Derulo and Neyo. Somehow it is good that labels choose the producers, if BMG wants Avril at the top again they will probably pay good producers like Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Shellback, Greg Kurstin people who produces hits not like Derick W or Chad Kroeger. Some people may not agree like when in Goodbye Lullaby RCA made Avril work with Max Martin and Shellback but Smile and Wish You Were Here are my favorite songs in the album. I wish. I don't think BMG could afford Antonoff, Martin or Shellback for her lol. I mean, don't get me wrong - I would love it if they could. But I doubt it.

I don't want her to work with Max Martin or Shellback again. All of these producers material sound the same for me and I don't like their songs at all. Rotem is a great producer I think and if Avril wants a similar jazzy direction to Baby It's Cold Outside, Rotem is the best she can get. She needs a fresh and natural sound, something that is true to her and he can bring this out of her and her songs I think, not like Martin or Shellback did.

Knowing Avril, her Christmas song will be released the day after Christmas and miss all chances for radio play. Baby It's Cold Outside is SO gonna smash this June

This is slightly off topic but I always wondered why Australian artists cover the traditional Christmas songs when it's not like that at all there. They should sing about Santas that are surfing with bearsharks and sunbathing with the elves. Avril should totally do a Christmas song for the southern hemisphere too. No one likes to be left out. Do the first step for a better tomorrow legend. <3

Despite the fact it's the middle of summer here (I'm from New Zealand - right next to Aus).

Yeah, It'd be good if Avril did eventually release a Christmas album full of originals something unique like Sia's new album. I'd be so shook to hear a southern hemisphere Christmas song from Av

It'll be awesome if Avril worked with Max Martin or Shellback again, even if it is just a few songs, Wish You Were Here is one of the best songs on GL, represents the album and a fan favourite. With the right vision Max Martin/Shellback and Avril can deliver great tunes/hits
Look at Reputation by Taylor, worked with Martin and Shellback on most of the song and now it is my favourite Taylor Swift album.

I feel like Greg Kurstin can do a great job with her album, since he produced Hello by Adele, Chandelier by Sia, Stronger by Kelly Clarkson. I think he can do a better job than Shellback and Max Martin for deepest songs like this album is supposed to be

About the announcement of Zane and the Christmas songs that he's recording: [...] "Most renown for his stellar work with John Mayer, Avril LaVigne, and U2βs βSpider-Man: Turn Off The Dark,β just in time for the holiday season Zane has released a gorgeous version of βSilent Night.β It is brooding yet reverent, and lusciously textured recalling all of the flavors of the late Jeff Buckley while still showcasing Zaneβs unique guitar wizardry. Zane told me, βI grew up going to midnight mass every year with my mother, brother (Reeve) and sister (Paris), and I always connected with the very end of the service where weβd sing a candlelit version of Silent Night as a congregation. As a lifelong jazz guy, I thought it would be special to take a shot at improvising my favorite Christmas song and Iβm really excited about it sharing it with people since my debut full length album wonβt be finished until next year.β" m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5a159f08e4b0f401dfa7ec7d
