If Lucky Ones is for a movie, I think is more likely to be in cloverfield (Horror) than the other ones (action and war). They also have 2 TV series Castle Rock and Westworld. I don't find another reason for Bad Robot being included in the publishers. Sony ATV could be because of a writer or producer. About 6 months ago she posted a picture with Evan Rachelwood (Westworldβs actress) that makes sence now!

Actually, this is tricky. Licensing goes for so many things - radio needs to buy a licence to present the song, ad companies need one if they want to use a certain song, artist who would like to record their version of the song to put it on the album needs a licence as well. So basically, BMG licensing the song can mean both, it's going to be on the radio, as well as it's up for sale to someone else.

But I don't think is extremely pop, because if that's the case I think a pop song only match with a movie like Easy A, Mean Girls, etc. I think is a kind of country or a ballad, that could fit in Westworld. Castle Rock is also horror.

Okay. I've checked that BMG site and they're offering just a mechanical music license which means you can obtain the right to record a cover version of the song. If I'm not mistaken, it also means you cannot change anything what's been in the original version. For soundtracks/videos etc. there's a different license.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Probably, but what if you buy the license. Do they give you the lyrics or the song? What's the point on buying a license of something you can't cover or use in any way xD

It's like a right to use the song in a specific way but the song as a piece of music is being obtained from a different source. Simply saying, even if you are recording covers of Avrils songs on your YouTube channel that's the licence you need to obtain. Without it, they can sue you. Go here, it should help: www.harryfox.com/license_music/what_is_mechanical_license.html

I actually didnt have a problem with the TBDT photoshoot. Its obvi not as good as UMS, but I have seen worse before (Let Go). I think its matches the album (TBDT), its pink, fun etc. GL is m all time fav album artwork like EVER. Love the photoshoot. AL photos did not catch any feeling, its like a nornal photoshoot for instagram (at least I got the feeling). I like Mark Liddel as a photographer, if I am not wrong he did the GL photoshoot. he also did the AL shoot, too bad that it didn't match with the songs If I am not mistaken, the photoshoot was done and then Avril was sent to the studio and AL songs were changed for the ones than we finally got. So MAYBE if we would have had the "tripod songs", Gone ,Fine and many others, it would had matched perfectly.

It doesn't say Bad Robot Music or Publishers, just Bad Robot. so 50/50 Click any artist from the link and compare to what you see in the screen. How many similar publishers do you see? It's always 50/50 but BMG stands for each and every song there and doubt it's just a coincidence. Or perhaps all the tracks/album were in Bad Robot Publishers movies. Edit: Looks like Jason Evigan's publishing his work via Bad Robot Music edit #2: Juber - Sony/ATV; Christy - it's LCBABA; Evigan - Bad Robot & Sparko; Lavigne - BMG; Rotem - unknown.

Since when do you need a license to record a cover of a song for YouTube? Perhaps if youβre trying to make money off it, or record a cover for iTunes that you plan to sell. But regular covers on YouTube Iβm pretty sure are fair game.

Yes, anyone can make a cover on YouTube... it's just if you use original songs from licensed artists, that you can't I also find that license thing weird tbh :/
