Guys, you know that leaks are in 90% done on purpose and under control? 5% goes to distribution leaks (on albums delivery to stores) and 5% someone's negative motives. I didnt know this!!!! For me if an albums leaks 2-3 days before release it is not a big deal. I think who wants to buy an album will buy it anyway. It increases overall interest - more reviews, mostly written by fans/music lovers but obviously very important, it also gives more days to spread the info. It's not like labels are unaware, it helps to boost first week sales.

I wonder how much promo Avril is really going to do for this album. Her health situation is much better and I think it would be good for her to do some interviews about what she went through and how it inspired the new music. But I'm not sure I envision the promo to be as heavy as it was in her peak eras. She seems very excited to get back out into the scene and she did mention touring. Maybe her health will permit it, but to be honest I am not expecting anything big like her previous eras. Especially where the tour is concerned, I think it will be restricted to the places where she's still popular. Aside from her health, the last couple of albums showed her ticket sales have declined. Didn't tour the US at all for GL and only toured for AL as an opening act. Skipped Europe for AL Tour. I thought the reason why she didn't tour Europe for AL Tour was because she had lyme...
But yeah, I agree with you that it'll depend on her health condition and on how well the album will do, so I'm not expecting anything as big as her previous eras either. Apparently. There were updates on her potential shows in Europe + Give You What You Like was supposed to be released in Europe as another single, following Hello Kitty in Japan.

We want her album so so bad, but I wouldn't wish for any kind of leak to happen. After all this effort she put. She doesn't deserve it. No one deserves it. I also prefer to have a great album in my hands, even if it does underperform or doesn't match her previous success, but I think secretly we all care about the charts. Imagine the articles, the whole buzz, the media saying "Avril Lavigne is back with a #1 single/album", all this exposure etc. I wish we could relive those days again.

No leaks please! --- And for promo, I really think she is healthy at the moment, probably the healthiest she's been since 2013. I mean, she looks good and she worked hard for a long time on this album, she's fine from what I'm seeing. But I think she'll not push herself over any limits. I think we'll get around the same amount of promo we did with AL (but more organized, because everything with that era was all over the place, including the promo and release schedule), which was not much, but enough. I want her to do as much promo as she did in the GL era, but that's obviously delusional atm. However, I think she'll have a lot of promo either way, I see she's really commited in getting this album out there and she's really proud of it, so I guess she'll push herself into letting the world know about it. I really want her to do some radio interviews more, I want her to be interviewed by Zach Sang, Elvis Duran and Zane Lowe, radio exposure is always great. And tour: I think she'll tour everywhere, but with less dates in each country... idk, probably a 50-60 concert tour with like almost 1 year duration.

It will be hard but I'm just not able to care about her next tour, because I'm pretty sure she wont come to Budapest, or even Wien. :/ She needs a huge single WW and really good album sales. I just dont want her to flop again, I can even imagine that she will hit #1 at Billboard with the first week album sales, but for that, she needs less competitors. I mean Havana was #1 and Camila "only" sold 117.000 copies in the first week (If I know correct) and it was enought for her to get that #1 for her album. What is better nowdays? Radio interview or talk/talent show performances? I know KIIS FM LA (Ryan Seacrest) is really big in the radio market, and I think she premiered the song there with an interview. I think it would be good, and also some live performances in the TV.

I think she received kinda good buzz/hype even saying what the album will sound like this time. It was just a little bit useless, since the hype will die pretty soon, so she really needs to release something in the upcoming 2 months.

And I guess for the general purposes, talk shows are better (chart-wise), but radio interviews makes the radio play the song (which is great in the long run) and the public is different from the one that watches talk shows... Each one is better for something. But I definitely want some performances on radio and of course, television as well (on the Elvis Duran radio show, artists always perform)

Try to spread dates out more and maybe do a shorter tour spread over a longer time with decent gaps between each leg. For example, she might perform through Asia over a few weeks and then have at least a few weeks off to make sure she's not burning herself out before continuing on with the next dates. A less intensive tour would be the safest option

I just need the single ASAP, and the new photoshoot. I'm checking her website every day, if its down it means new music.

I think they will have the normal promo that most singers have nowadays. Carpool Karaoke, Live performance like in a festival, maybe Ellen, SNL, GMA and probably an award show.

Self-titled did 44,000 pure sales in the US in 2013 , I think if she does ~50,000 SPS that would be decent for her. 150,000 SPS first week WW.

So you mean to tell me I've been off the grid for 4 months due to being struck by a hecking hurricane and this girl still hasn't dropped the album... Woah woah, you went 4 months without the internet!? yup, 4 months without electricity, sucked :/ I'm not sure about the album coming in February either, she "confirmed" it was coming in 2017 and then it didn't... Tho I'm optimistic about the singe! Let's just pray it's not another "hello kitty" fiasco, her career would for sure be done for I'm kind of afraid her sales will just keep going on a downwards spiral, I mean she makes decent sales but they're just never the same, I really hope it turns around. But I'm happy that she's happy and healthy, that's what matter the most to me <3

I'm so sorry about the hurricane.Β Also sorry because there is no album yet.Β Its alright haha but it was such a weird feeling, I thought I was going to miss the release and then I comeback on the internet after four months and still no album? I don't know if that's lucky or unlucky haha
