DJ review is part of the early marketing phase. It's often a decisive moment for an album as much as a single. This phase is mostly BTS. Avril made an entertaining appearance out of it bc she has been keeping the fans updated about the album, even a few things not usually seen by the public as I've said before. She was simply touching base with the fans and looked very cute. The actual review and more serious business had already happened before she appeared. When the station considers playlist rotation there are a great deal of advertising dollars at stake and issues of listener loyalty.

I don't know why people are driving themselves crazy over studio pics. We've had it confirmed by BMG that they're in the mixing process so they've approved the songs for this album. We've had it confirmed by that radio DJ that the single is selected and ready to go. Avril's a songwriter who is clearly feeling very inspired and enthusiastic about writing right now. Not eveything she writes or records has to be for this album. She loves singing and writing and does it when she gets an idea. Not everything she writes or records as a demo will fit this album but that doesn't mean she can't still write/record them. Maybe she'll use them for a later project (she's done this tons of times before e.g. DTM, EBBY, Darlin). People act like she should stop writing or recording demos once a project is done and only start up again when it's time for the next album. People are reading too much into things and making themselves frustrated over nothing. This.

Didn't have time to read the site until just now, just checking twitter lately. After all the excitement and great things going on it seems a minor catch up issue. But I happen to know why the so called mic photo was created and what the actual message is. That IG was posted as a multi platform message the day after the radio station appearance and directed to her fans on social media as a polite response regarding those who were contacting the station through various channels with questions about the single. No one has a problem with the fan enthusiasm or curiosity. The more the better for the album. So the photo has nothing to do with trolling. Seriously people?? After going to a major radio station to get play for the album?!
The smiley gremlins were put there as a warning that the photo is a bit of bad news. Not world shaking bad only just slightly disappointing to some. The actual message itself was placed in the main part of the photo, not at the edges. The picture refers back to photos she did with Jonathon when she was singing in the studio last summer. It was thought ppl would remember those photos, bc.one in particular accidently showed a lyric sheet where some of the words were readable. Everyone was excited about finding a leak about a song. That summer photo is the message.
In the IG pic there is another lyric sheet - a deliberate and awkwardly angled prop. The words are put out of focus so that they are almost or completely unreadable. Immediately adjacent to the lyrics is Avril's face. She is expressionless and silent. Not talking. She is also not singing. The bad news communicated by the photo is - unless decided it's good for the record - no one will be saying too much about the song, and no leaks until the single is released. Nothing more was intended.

Very Disappointed, it's very frustrating to me just to think that we have to wait 4 long more years for a new record

We all don't know exactly what's the message behind those pics, but I think the reason why she's sharing those studio photos because she wants to let her fans know that she's passionate about the record. Also to give out the fact that she truly cares about it as well. The only thing I can assume in here is that she's probably making some changes to the songs, so she can finalize them. Or maybe it's something else, who knows? There's still a lot of facts that we don't know much about, but most importantly is that she's doing her best effort on the album. It's always best for things to come later than not happening at all.
Also I'm gonna tell you this, I kindly advise you all to be more assertive towards each other about the topic. Because sending complains and being impatient isn't gonna make her fast forward the process. It never works that way and making a record isn't a piece of cake as you think. There's a lot to do and people need to understand that not everything gets done in one go. Every musician out there needs fans that can be patient and supportive towards their hard work, because I believe this will help them do better with their progress. When things flop during the making of the record because it happens. Sometimes things don't go smoothly and we all need some extra time to sort them out. For example, the reason why Avril was taking so long to make the record because she had difficulties finding the right producers. Things like that happen and we should all respect that. Yes sure, we have to wait much longer for it to come. But we also have to start reminding ourselves that the record is on its way and it's actually happening.
In conclusion, being negative about the process isn't gonna take us anywhere and it won't do better for anyone. All musicians around the world especially Avril, are doing their best to achieve their goals and make everyone happy. They're passionate, and they really care about producing quality music for their fans. Being supportive is what every fan should do, and I believe this will encourage them to do better with their upcoming projects.

I donโt really appreciate being told how to think, what to say, or what to do... thanks though. I think fans have every right to feel frustrated at this point, and itโs perfectly healthy to vent to the community they belong to... it promotes conversation. Weโre all human... I think shaming and telling people theyโre not real fans because theyโre not fucking cheerleaders is absolutely ridiculous.

All I'm just saying is that it's okay to feel frustrated at times, but not to the point that it becomes obnoxious for most of us in the community. I understand that people don't like to be told what to do and stuff like that, I get it. But this is just my personal opinion and I think we should just take things easy while Avril is working on her upcoming record.

It goes both ways. Some are able to accsept that it takes the time it takes. It will be out some day [but not tonight ] Some are frustrated the album is taking so fregging long to produce. Having to read all the negative loaded posts is not quite "acceptable" for the patient ones. It does not help on the waiting time at all. Having to read all the posts telling off to be more patient and accepting, does not help the eager ones to feel like it is coming quicker. If there is a debate, good. But there is no point in going at eachother. We know that AL6; - She signed with BMG early 2017 - New managment summer 2017 - First production started May 16th 2017 - July-august vacation - august 1st - semptember 23rd recording sessions. - Got 20 something songs written - Has taken time to find the producer(s) - It is in the mixing process Writers/producers/mixers - J.R, Chad?, Zane, Travis, Chris Baseford, Stephan Maccio - Lauren Christy, Isley Juber, Jason Evigan - There is 'real' guitars by Zane and Rotem - There is 'real' drums by Kenny Aronoff Recorded december 4th 2017 - Piano by Rotem - There is punk/rock songs on the album to play on tour and to balance out the record. - She wants a ballad to be the lead. Warrior was written in 2015 and most likely demoed. First recorded in november 2017
