Soooo close to 1000 pages!! Its so fun coming back here every day and reading everything people have said! I really believe 21st is the date, but only because that's what makes most sense in my head, no concrete evidence

Evan unfollowed Avril on Instagram. Now they're even. Sad though.  Really makes you think how these folks (Av, Evan) behave when cameras aren't around. Is Avril maybe a douchebag? Is Evan a tool? Sometimes I do wonder.. |

My honest opinion is that she isn't an easy people at all. All these weird-ended friendships with her friends and collaborators, co-workers, her weird acting, her "lies",the lot of misting around her... I don't know. As a teenager, she was the girl who got what she wanted and she got everything. I think she's that type: she always get what she wants to, no matter what. She's never been really smart but she had the voice and the good fortune - and she always had a great amount of back-wind (first her parents, then the management, the labels, her own strong will and the money later). People gave her what she wanted and she got everything. She grow up in this. Of course she has a softer side, she fails in love and signs about what she went through, I really think she's a good people. But I also think she's really egocentric and a bit disdainful too. I only realised this as the time went by, a couple of years ago as I followed her personal things. But I still really love her music (her attitude, well, no), her style and I'm a fan and I'll be a fan forever I think. She was a really big part of my childhood and teenage years and became a part of me. I can't stop following her and... well... I don't know. It's a kind of weird loyality I think?

I've been thinking about it for a while and I agree, I think it will be also my favourite but I will only be able to judge it after at least 3 months after the release because with all the hype it's difficult to be objective But I trust it will be at least one of my 3 favourites, I'm completely sure |

I'm going to try to keep my expectations low, but I am honestly really expecting a lot from this album based on what her coworkers have said (I know we can't put a lot of stock in what they say though). But everyone keeps saying this album is different from what she's done before and I'm really hoping that holds up. Like I am just expecting a lot from this album with how much work she put into the studio, the writing, the instruments, the new sound, the vocals. I am really hoping it will be her best album yet, at least I hope it's better than GL or AL. If it can measure up to the quality of her first 3 albums, I'll be happy.

I've been thinking about the whole current music scene, and I'll say that she faces a significant uphill battle to regain recognition because of one particular thing she can't really change - she's essentially a dumb blonde white chick from L.A.
It doesn't matter if its true or not, when she hits the radio she'll be a lost blonde girly chick in a sea of musicians that are mostly a part of the so-called global south.
Currently mainstream music is mostly inspired by the black (African American, but also Caribbean) and latin/hispanic culture. Camilla Cabello, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Ella Mai, Rihanna, girls like Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, that are even faking some tan to be more southern lookin'. Sure, you have Taylor Swift, but her songs are also pretty much inspired by the hiphop beat now. Will Avril have the same beat? I kind of doubt it, and it would make her very generic she did.
