Let Go

Too Much To Ask and Naked are songs I never skip. I think Nobody's Fool is my least favourite on Let Go.

This may sound biased bc of nostalgia and all that (but tbh i wasn't a fan in 2002 SO.... let's say it's not 100% nostalgia) BUT I truly believe that all songs from LG could've been singles. There's not even 1 song that's not good enough. Every songs is able to stand their ground. We can argue that maybe Let Go, Why, Get Over It, Headset or Falling Down could've made the cut bc they're great tracks, but just add 6 more tracks from the b-sides and she could've released a 2nd album with equally great tracks to be honest. LG era will always be the era that had the most quality and even quantity (which is rare from her).

Nobody's Fool is SO underrated, it has a little bit of "rap" or fast paced verses let's say, and it's basically autogiographic, a strong statement of who she is and the melodies and the chorus are great. It could've easily be a debut single to be honest, if not a 2nd or 3rd one. It really deserved more. (funny that when i was younger i didn't like it that much but now it's one of my favorites from LG)

Unwanted is another song that i didn't vibe with when i was young, but later on i got into "heavier" music and redesovered unwanted and tbh...it's a banger, really moody but full of power, i love it now.

Same goes with losing grip, not a big fan back then, now: one of my favorites.

In fact....i think that Complicated is probably one of the weakest songs on LG....BUT maaaybe and just maybe it's bc i've heard it like a trillion times, so i don't know 😂 (still a great track tho). As I said, to me...all the songs from LG could've been singles with their respective music videos.

I really can't understand all the slander against Too Much To Ask. That song is an easy 10/10 to me!

Too Much To Ask is a good example of when her overly simplistic lyrics really capture the moment/sentiment. you can HEAR a 16/17 year old girl in that song. It's songs like this that really reaped the Alanis comparisons way back when.

Definatly! It's probably my fav of LG and its one of those songs where even today feels like never aged. It's Timeless... Lyric wise and music wise. It's a gem for me and I think it is overly underrated.

I don't know about a LG documentary but maybe there's something coming for AL7. I remember seeing Mod with a camera a lot while they were in the studio together. The Let Go recording process wasn't really documented that we know of, it would be hard to make a documentary without any real studio or behind the scenes footage. But I could absolutely see a documentary of the recording process for her new album.
