"How We Roll" by Britney Spears Actual lyric: "You can be my thug tonight" What I heard: "You can be my fuck tonight" I heard that too Also in the same song... "Downtown, where my posse's at"... I heard something else instead of posse and it felt so appropriate because it is located downtown

Another one: Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. Everyone thought at first she was saying "Welcome to the land of fame and sex." But it's actually "fame excess."

Ok so I literally just found out yesterday that the lyric in "I Wish You Would" by Taylor Swift is actually "To stand back where you stood," when I thought all this time it was "Stand back wasted."

I thought the exact same thing! It took me a while to realize it too! Personally I like "stand back wasted" better! It just sounds cooler, and it would give the song a slightly different feel.

^I thought it was "Stand back wasted" as well. And the first time I listened to my sister's 1989 CD, I thought that in This Song Is About My Ex Boyfriend Harry Style s she said "Likes it rough, he's taking off his clothes" instead of "Lights are off, he's taking off his coat" I actually remember thinking "this is very racy, especially for her standards"

I don't know why I typed 1984...maybe I got messed up with George Orwell's book en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-FourLol, the video can be summed up as a slightly spicier version of the stereotypical Taylor Swift video: handsome boy sends Swift to a continuously revisited world of incertitudes and disappointments where she displays her stunning good looks in all their splendour

Runaway "I just wanna scream the rest of the show" (I don't even know how I made up this one, seriously , but I remember that it was what I heard the first time) "Yeah, you know how this life can be a fish"

I always mishear the beginning of the chorus to Hudson Taylor's song World Without You
The actual lyric is "do you know what it feels like to fall in your arms" but I always hear "do you know what it feels like to fall on your arse"
It took weeks of singing the wrong lyric before I realised haha.
