I Think the whole walmart soundcheck she did was so good In the past week or so I have re-listened this live acoustic Walmart Soundcheck Push song probably no less than 20 times. There is just something very unique about this live performance. Her vocals are just so powerful, precise and intentional, and her band is just so spot on here, that I just keep coming back for more!

George Harrison - Isn't It a Pity (2014 Remaster) This is such a great song. Something about this song always makes me think it sounds similar to some Pink Floyd songs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just for fun, I posed this statement to Microsoft Bing's AI Copilot.
"Something about George Harrison's song "Isn't It a Pity" always makes me think it sounds similar to some Pink Floyd songs."
Here is how it Copilot replied:
“Isn’t It a Pity” by George Harrison indeed carries a certain ethereal quality that resonates with the introspective and atmospheric sounds of Pink Floyd. Let’s explore this intriguing musical connection:
1. Shared Era and Influence: * Both George Harrison and Pink Floyd were prominent artists during the late 1960s and early 1970s. * The psychedelic and experimental music scene of that era fostered cross-pollination of ideas among musicians. * Harrison’s exposure to Indian classical music and spirituality, as well as Pink Floyd’s penchant for sonic exploration, influenced their respective compositions.
Similarities: Emotional Depth: Both artists delved into profound themes—existential questions, love, loss, and the human condition. Layered Arrangements: Harrison’s intricate instrumentation in “Isn’t It a Pity” mirrors Pink Floyd’s penchant for lush, multi-layered soundscapes. Long Instrumental Sections: Pink Floyd’s extended instrumental passages (think “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” or “Echoes”) find echoes in the instrumental breaks of “Isn’t It a Pity.” Spiritual Quest: Harrison’s spiritual journey and quest for meaning parallel Pink Floyd’s exploration of consciousness and altered states.
Possible Influences: * While there’s no direct evidence of Pink Floyd influencing Harrison or vice versa, the zeitgeist of the era likely seeped into their creative processes. * Both artists were part of a musical tapestry that included experimentation, boundary-pushing, and a desire to transcend conventional song structures.
Listening Experience: * Next time you listen to “Isn’t It a Pity,” pay attention to its intricate guitar work, heartfelt vocals, and the way it weaves emotions. * Then, revisit Pink Floyd’s catalog—songs like “Wish You Were Here,” “Comfortably Numb,” or “Us and Them.” * You might discover subtle threads connecting their musical universes.
Fun Fact: George Harrison and Pink Floyd’s guitarist David Gilmour collaborated on the track “Rattle That Lock” from Gilmour’s solo album. Their shared sensibilities shine through in that piece as well.
So, whether it’s the cosmic echoes of Pink Floyd or the soulful musings of George Harrison, music has a way of intertwining our hearts and minds. 🎶✨
End of Copilot reply.
