Something that has bothered me for quite some time now is how weird Av's Wikipedia page photo is. Am i the only one who notices that it looks like somebody changed the coloring of the photo? The photo is of her at Wango Tango in '13, but it just seems like they edited it to make her hair look really orange and the shirt she was originally wearing was black and they changed it to green? I know it isn't anything crazy, it just seems odd. I don't feel like it really looks like Avril, and the editing makes the photo look sort of unflattering. Looking at the pictures side by side it's more noticable. I just wish somebody would freaking change it to a more flattering, recent photo gosh darn' it Here's a photo of her from Wango Tango: An here's the photo on her Wikipedia page:

Three different photographers, three different cameras and three different flash units equals three different results. There are a lot of factors that determine if the colors are going to look right. I'm not going to get too technical. The hair color is off in the pic on the left and the middle because the camera and flash were set up in a way that allowed the natural light of the room to have more of an effect on the image than the camera's flash. When you put everything on automatic, things don't always turn out right. In the photo on the right, a different combination of settings resulted in the flash having more of an effect. The color is a lot closer to what it is supposed to be. She still had a little bit of green in her hair. But, it's over exposed and Avril's face is a little washed out. The picture on the right was taken at almost the exact time as the wikipedia pic. The problem with both of them is, the mouth is wrong. Her lips must have been dry because if you look close, you can see her lips are slightly stuck together on one side of her mouth. The biggest reason the pic on the left doesn't look like Avril is because of a Photoshop technique called frequency separation. It's used to smooth the texture of the model's skin. In this case, it's overused and made her cheek bones disappear. She looks like a plastic doll. Also, the wrong hair color was intensified. So, yeah. I agree. There are a lot of better pictures that could have been used.

It probably should be updated to a more recent photo anyway, like from the People shoot or when she performed Fly at the SO.

Now i know a little something about photography i didn't before

they didn't edit, but it doesn't take the question off. I am of those too, who, entering her wikipage, thinking the same - the photo isn't the best of her, might be much better (she has thousands and thousands astonishing pictures, in fact it would be very hard to pick one). technically, it should be easy to go and change it, at least you should have a decent english possession (to explain your motives in comments, that's strict), not as awful as mine. but this is not the biggest problem, - then you should enter a long and exhausting dispute with everybody else to prove you are doing a right thing. seems, that one who posted that not the best photo, has won that fight. If I were the one to decide what a photo to put on top, I'd make it a slide show from the very best photos of her by my taste. Now I'd put this one. Because I am obsessed with it. And I don't care about the encyclopaedic style when it comes to Avril. xD (thanks for lbsforevers@instagram)

Wow I haven't seen that picture in ages! Her eyes & hair - stunning, as always . And yes, i definitely think somebody should change the photo, though I myself am not quite sure who/ or how to go about doing so, but for the love of God somebody? ??
