Her Canadian accent is so strong in this interview lol
Early interviews like this show she wasn’t always shy and that she’d actually talk. I think it was later on when she started to become more shy and closed off in interviews, maybe after experiencing the more negative side of the media.

That's an interesting point that you make, because I was thinking exactly the same thing too!
I think that the press and others were quite hard on her at times, I think a lot of it was simply because of her gender too. Clearly they were misogynistic at times! It's kind of sad to think they broke her spirit a bit back then, but I'm glad times are changing a bit now for the better.
