Honestly, I am 100% on avril's side on these type of problems (exept in the case of Martin Johnson, just because I have no idea what happened). Because I can tell that Avril songs always have some similarities even though She writes with different people. Plus, She has written songs by herself and they're really good, even though they are simpler. By the way, this happens to almost everybody. If you are successful there are always people trying to take credit for your accomplishments +1 !! |

Butch Walker only worked with Avril in the first place because of the label she was on. The label screwed him and his band over back in the day so he worked with as many artists from the same label just to make a lot of money from them. That's why he started working with Pink too. I don't think she talks with Chad as much now cuz that fight she had with her new boy toy. Although I do think Avril is part to blame for all the falling outs. I believe the fighting really happens over the fact that Avril takes more writing credit in the media than she does what on paper. She makes it seem like she writes the song all by herself and someone came on and gives some ideas. If your a songwriter and the song you worked on is a big hit you want people to know that you had a big hand in it too. That's if your not the artist. No chance that plain old Jealousy plays a role? We could go back and forth all day. As for Martin Johnson, didn't he make fun of her and said something along the words that she couldn't sing or she shouldn't be a singer if she couldn't hit notes? I know there was something said about her singing abilities. That would be enough for Avril to be pissed off at someone. |

i personally loved butch, i loved goodbye lullaby fully. also, unpopular opinion, but i also like shellback, i love smile. Yeah, they both gave us Stop Standing There, Alice, TBDT, When You're Gone, Everything Back but You, Don't Tell Me and the fan fave My Happy Ending. I don't know if she was forced to work with him but I hope she's forced again XD most of their songs were singles even SST is very popular. There are many fans that want Avril to work with Chantal Kreviazuk but as Avril said they were not making hits together, their best song is Slipped Away (I terms of popularity). As for Lauren Christy do you think she also co-produced her new songs or just co-wrote them? |

I think this topic is quite complicated. We never know the entire story. Even how Avril was such a control freak back in the days, still she can't control over Dr. Luke. and lead to her fallout with Butch Walker. This has already messed up my head. I only believe things happen from a lot of factors. I wouldn't blame all either on the producers and Avril. Both have some responsibilities. And yeah, fans have sense of recognizing which pieces come from Avril. This is how we believe. However, these things should annoy Avril so much and somethings she can have no idea what to do like J.R.

I don't know and above all don't get much about these producers. All I know is that I wouldn't be sad if she keeps forgetting about Martin Johnson.
On a more serious note, I loved most of her work with David Hodges when it comes to producing, he made the best work on a so-so album (only my opinion here), I'd be happy if he joined her team again 😊
