I have finally read all the books and I'm SO HAPPY
I found it an amazing experience. Every time I opened the books to read, it felt like a hand would come out of the book and drag me inside, popping me where I had left and keep on the story... like a pensieve.
I'll definitely read them again in the future and I think it's an amazing way for kids to discover the pleasure of reading, 'cause the great ability of JK Rowling is not only to make you fall in love with the story and the world of Harry Potter, but she writes in such a way that makes you also fall in love with reading in general, wanting to grab another book and get into reading
Curiosity: I read the British version of the books, but I've heard that there is a difference with the American version (not only for the different title of the first book), does anyone know about these differences?

I felt the same way after finishing the series! Definitely gonna read them all again sometime. Now you have to read the spinoffs like Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts. I finished the Cursed Child a few days ago, by the way. It got better in part 2 but I do understand why people say it reads like fanfic. The play must be a lot better in person than reading the script because it won 6 Tony’s. I still recommend reading it anyway though because we get to see Harry and the gang 19 years later. I don’t think there are many differences between the British and American editions of the books except some dialogue may use more British lingo, for example the way Ron talks “Blimey! Oi!” is probably how most of the characters talk.

Haha yeah I was already considering reading the spinoffs and actually reading everything I can find about the HP world Yes I've got a huge HP fever haha!
Did Rowling write the script for the Cursed Child?
Thanks for clarifying the differences

Thanks for clarifying the differences It isn't super clear but I think JK wrote the "story" but the actual script for the play was written by some other guy. Hence why I said earlier that the dialogue doesn't sound like JK's writing at all - because she apparently didn't write it lol The idea for the story was hers though, I guess. A lot of fans dislike Cursed Child so much they deny that it's canon, but JK did approve it and the story itself belongs to her, so whether fans like it or not, it's considered to be canon.

Yeah, it's a classic "Star Wars' case" - this being said by someone who loves the Star Wars prequels As much as I stand in the "Let's restore the Spanish Inquisition so they get all the copies and burn them so nobody ever remembers The Cursed Child ever existed" camp I accept them as part of the cannon precisely because J.K. Rowling supports it. Still, I hope that someday she changes her mind and admits that saying so was the result of transitory madness or being under the Imperius curse. One of my biggest issues with TCC is that the core of the story is actually good- not trying to spoil Sarah, but in the original saga, there were SOME MAGIC DEVICES that caused sort of a plothole, much like the Eagles do in LOTR- the Cursed Child attempts to solve it and kind of succeeds at that. But that's its only succes IMO. The characters are its greatest flaw, they are absolutely disloyal to the book's one and more of an exaggeration of the actors' portrayals in the movies- Scorpius is the only exception to this rule. The pace is very slow, there are lots of unnecessary events- I specially loathe ONE AT THE HOGWARTS' EXPRESS involving A VERY MINOR CHARACTER- and the supposed "plot twists" are painfully predictable once one gets used to the play's "mechanics". Rendering it into a theatre play instead of a novel was probably the last nail in the coffin; it absolutely lacks of the books' "immersive" atmosphere and the dialogs quality simply don't make up for it. I agree that maybe the actual representation may make things work out, but I have this old-fashioned opinion that a good theatre play works both at a school representation and at Broadway's best theatre- and also as a book; Shakespeare is a prime example of that.

The only disappointment in them both was Ron IMO - just not the same as the HP books.

I understand what you mean, thanks even for the minor spoilers
Well Shakespeare is unbeatable, he's the best at that, so it's really hard to compare anything to him but I understand your point.
