You have a brain for details. You would make a good detective and be good in technical work as well.

Ahhh I forgot about Evan; didn't he and Avril have a falling out or am I drunk? I have never heard of them having a falling out. He just left her band in the early 2000s to do his own thing and it seems like she was OK with that. He's visited her and helped her on some of her music videos afterwards, and she refers to him as her "brother from another mother." I always thought it was weird that they followed each other on Twitter and not Instagram, but I'm thinking that they're both millennials and just don't care too much for social media. They probably converse through other means. Speaking of social media, you guys should check Jesse Colburn's Twitter. Dude is an absolute cringefest that makes political posts every chance he gets. I noticed that Avril and Evan don't follow him on Twitter even though though they've spoken to each other on there before. I can see why. Even when I agree with the political posts, it still makes me uncomfortable to read them. I noticed that. Most of his posts are about Trump.
Speaking of Jesse. I'm sure I read somewhere that he left the band on bad terms with Avril or wasn't nice to her when they dated. Might be wrong on that but cant remember where I heard it.
I think Avril and Evan are fine. Sometimes people just move on in life, doesn't mean to say there's been a falling out.

Weren't there some weird tweets from him re: friendship at one point that people thought were digs at Avril though? Again, maybe I'm just misremembering these things, and perhaps this is why I thought they had a falling out.

The people who keep bringing up Avril every time he Tweets are making so many assumptions. I've said this before, but I feel bad that anytime someone is remotely associated with Avril, they're bothered about it so many times on social media. I check up on her superfans' and associates' social media maybe once a day and maybe reply once in a while. I don't know why people feel the need to harass them again and again. Don't they realize how insanely annoying that is?

I get a big sense of elitism that makes me cringe, but it could just be the way they post things too. Social media makes people weird.

I mostly check on francyavril and believeindanny(the guy who won the chance to meet her in Japan). Admittedly, that's not a big sample.

I don't know for sure, but I sense it with a couple of people. The guy from Japan seems cool and genuine; none of his posts give me that vibe. What grinds my gears is the extra-special treatment some people get when there are others that have been around for a long time that haven't even had a M+G.

If you want that extra-special treatment, you should stalk follow her around while she's on tour and get front-row seats at a ton of her concerts and hope she notices you. A member here did that with great success.

And I get going to many shows, but I'm old and frugal now lol. I hate paying more than $40 for a gig ticket, so I miss out on a lot of shows due to not wanting to burn up the credit card.

My thing is that it was always the same small group of fans who would get invited to exclusive events and stuff because they were associated with the Bandaids name, despite the fact their involvement in the site declined pretty quickly, yet they’d still get invited to these events. Up until recently, the usual suspects were also the only few people she would usually reply to on social media, though thankfully it seems that recently she’s been replying to a lot of more random comments as well.

You and the others have been around for a lot longer than me. Why did these "usual suspects" stop being so involved in the site? I wouldn't mind if she stuck to a very similar group of people every time. I'm thinking that she shouldn't just let anyone in. From what I understand, these "superfans" are a lot more dedicated than even a vast majority of "big fans." We are talking about people who literally followed her through a ton of concerts on a single tour and were in the front row seats every time. I am going to say one thing about that, though. If the people that followed her like that were guys, they would immediately get called creeps and stalkers. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to say it. I think your chances of getting "in" are much higher if you're a female.

I think your chances of getting "in" are much higher if you're a female. Yeah I don't think any of the old staff are active anymore. I think it has something to do with when the original site was closed for good, they all just went with it I guess. Some of them maybe just didn't have time for it anymore and moved on with their lives, don't know. I agree that it makes sense Avril sticks to her small group of fans she's familiar with when it comes to event invitations and stuff. She's a very shy person so it's totally natural that once she sees the same familiar faces a few times, she recognizes them and feels comfortable inviting them to events and stuff. Those who are loyal enough to attend multiple shows and spend the money on front row tickets and stuff deserve some sort of recognition from her. However, it's also not really fair when she has literally millions of other fans who deserve a chance to meet her. Someone who has met her multiple times and gone to events had plenty of chances to meet her already when there are those who have never even met her once. You're right about the male fan vs female fan thing but there were actually quite a few guys in Avril's "inner circle" back in the old days. Many of them were staff members of BA. There's also this Nick guy she frequently responds to on social media, I think he was at the AL5 release party or something so she is familiar with him, and he posted some kind of HAW-inspired makeup once and she retweeted it. Oh and of course the Danny guy who met her in Japan that I think she responds to once in a while.

I’ve had to put up with a lot of criticism over the years even from friends and family. I don’t let it put me off and I’ve never hid the fact I’m a fan. But it gets tiring being treated like some creepy stalker just for buying a CD or going to a concert. It’s not my fault my celebrity crush and favourite all time artist are the same person, that’s just the way it is!

Is there a way for Avril to upload the Bukodan live show on her channel? It's such a great concert, I would love to see the GP witness it!
